USA repaint Starscream.

I just read this post on macross world:

My SDCC Rodimus arrived on Monday. The color is a bit brighter than KP, but still good. That feels like the end of an epic for me too. I do own every Alternator and used to have every BT before the line was cancelled. Those and Masterpiece are the only TF lines I collect. I have pre-ordered BT-18 Rijer - which will make 4 Ford GT variations.

The Japanese version of Hasbro's Masterpiece Starscream does have carbon/scorch/weathering/poo on it as well. It is still unknown how it differs from the Walmart release, if it does.

And it wouldn't suprise me in the slightest if Takara do release an 'Animation Color' variation as well, e.g. MP-7, depending on the success of Hasbro's version.

I know Takara is releasing the US repaint as well. However, would they really use the MP-07 designation on it? Would not DVD SS or USA MP-03 be more appropriate?

Meh, well, MP-08 better be Thundercracker. Tahts all I gotta say.

Even so, I hope this is for real and not a kitbash or custom repaint

Yeah.. I though they would call it "USA edition" as well.. but looks like it will be just that, MP-7

The seller is in quite good standing with me, he told my girlfriend about this item when she inquired about the payment/shipment of MP-6. So somewhere in japan there would be a pre-order list with MP-7 on it.

So does it really come out in 2 weeks? Ive been waiting forever for this thing. I dont know why they even made a noncartoon colored version. Ill have to contact my wallmart friends to grab me one.

Either way, I will be going with the US version, especially considering Takara's recent QC woes. IMO, on a QC level, imo, hasbro has risen and takara has dipped to the point where they are equivalent.

I just hope Hasbro releases it internationally and not just as a walmart exclusive, like they did with dvd prime

I'll be getting this over the Hasbro version, Takaras paint jobs are invariably better than those of Hasbro. I just hope it is a proper MP release in a MP box and not an overpriced ehobby exclusive in a US style box.

I dunno AK. It used to be invariably. However, I had fingers randmly plopping off MP-3. Prime had a mp-01 AND 2 WERE PERFECT, BUT MY mp-4 had paint blemishjes on the face.

2 weeks should be about right. It was slated for late sept if I recall.

I'll just have to appreciate MP-7 from a jpg file...

Well, that is funny.... the MP-07 is non other then the Masterpiece U.S. redeco Starscream.... wow, didn't see that coming (sarcasm), such an easy way to go about it, all Takara has to do is package them up in a box with a good shot of the Anime acurate version and sell it...I'm sure it will go pretty quickly considering the anime accurate version is what everyone wanted to see.. I'm debating on whether or not to get the Wal-Mart Version, or wait for the MP-07 boxed version to add to my collection.. the Takara version would blend into my collection better, but the Wal-Mart version would be nice and easy to purchase, assuming they even get them in the stores here... Sigh...

What can I do, but just wait and see...


By the way, this should be credited to the news section as a Rumor and as such if it really ends up being the MP-07, that will be huge because we noted it first!! Ha ha ha take that rival Transformers sites!!!

That would be nice. There are sockets on his shoulders that some speculate might be for attaching the cape shoulder pads, but there's so much stuff going on on thsi moulds back fitting a cape around it might be difficult. Like you say it's unlikley but it would be amazing if they did.

Hell, I'm easy. I'd settle for just a crown. I don't even need a cape for him. Just the pauldrons would be cool too.
