This past weekend we first reported about the first images of a red Chevy Aveo named Swerve being released. At that time not much about the figure was known. Since that time we have learned the figure was released as part of a promotion in China. Now it appears, that we have a new mystery reguarding the Chevy Aveo Transfromer. Ebay seller no_cd has posted an auction for a Yellow Aveo Transformer. Not much is known about the figure at this time. Stay tunned to the Seibertron.com Toy Section for the latest news about this figure. Here are the mirrored images:

It's CLASSICS Sideswipe and Sunstreaker! I'm kidding, but that is an interesting thing to ponder. Perhaps there are different colored batch versions for them to give away.

ARGH! The yellow should have been the give away and make red Swerve the general release!

It's just a fan-repaint. You can see the original red on the inside of the car doors.

I'd be more interested if it was a car other than that Aveo (cringe).

I'd have to second Cyber-Kun, I can see red through the back of the doors.
I'd take the fact that the yellow car is parked over an instruction booklet with SWERVE on it as a clue that it's just a repaint, tho a damn good looking one.

OR its still factory repaint and they were too lazy to paint the inside. If it was a fan repaint and they took the time repaint the whole car yellow, even the other nterior panels why would they leave the doors red under the window plastic?

Maybe it's Universe Bumblejumper in red and yellow?

It is a repaint, but its an official Hasbro repaint. The red you see is simply the fact that the *plastic* was red, and then was repainted in the factory. Its like with the windows on Hasbro's `74 Movie Bumblebee: The plastic is yellow, and shows yellow on the inside, but the outside is painted blue.

The red everyone sees looks more like the tinted windows. It looks like translucent tint plastic on top of the yellow solid plastic. It's still an Aveo, I wouldn't pay the prices paople are paying on ebay for them.

I'm thinking that with some head swapping, these could be Alt Bumbles and Alt CJ.

Either this is a prototype or it could be a mass release. But then again there may be other colored ones for the promotion.

Has anyone else mentioned that these looked way too clunky to be considered Alternators? These look so much like the Classic line that it is not funny.

sweet, looks awesome! however, hasbro should seriously quit it with the exclusives and release stuff for everyone to have.... at least have the molds available for everyone and repaints made as exclusives.

Given that Swerve was released as an exclusive in China, is it Hasbro's doing or TakaraTomy?

whoever is in charge, quit releasing products at a certain part of the world and letting it be an exclusive to them only. rather let it be available to everyone else in the world. does anyone see a hint of racism here? letting a certain group have a certain product and yet, not releasing it to others.
