Detolf for TF's?

Im buying 2 Detolfs for my collectibles on monday, has anyone displayed their TF's in a Detolf from Ikea? The one im most worried about is my 20th prime fitting! This idea is a crossover from the Star wars community.

Its funny, ive been collecting for a month now and I will be able to fill it up easily!

Ill also be displaying my favorite loose Star wars figures on risers and my GG busts and statues :)

MP Prime fits just fine, as long as its in robot mode and without a trailer.I can fit MP Prime, MP Megatron, as well as 5 BTs in the bottom section. Though I'll watch the weight on each section (other than the bottom)if you are having a bunch with heavy diecast stuff all in one section. The glass don't seem all that strong, even though its supposed to be stronger than normal glass.

I have an MP Prime with trailer attached in mine. Its a tight fit, but doable. I use them just for large MPs/BTs and statues as the shelves are the wrong shape and height for smaller stuff.

Coincidentally I've been eyeing for a couple of those Detolfs from Ikea for about a month already (among Detolf, Biby & Ingo) . In 2007's catalog they go for US$79, now I just received new 2008 catalog and they're reduced to $59.

After seeing Alex's collection pictures, realizing each shelf will hold only about 5 Alternators, maybe I should get 4 of them.

Cheers!

I went for the metal framed class display cases instead (cant remeber their name, bibby maybe?) becuase I felt the detolf looked too flimsey. Also the metal framed ones come in red. Red isa good colour. :D

I've been eyeing those for a while myself. Just waiting on a closer location to open. Shipping is a bear. Any chance we could get bigger pics there bud?

Well, I never had that many as a kid, but my job and being single until 6 years ago allowed me the opportunity to spend in ways that I could not spend before.

Some people buy drugs, cars, alcohol, fancy vacations, cool gadgets, etc., etc. I bought TFs.

Thank you for your kind words.

Nope, he was not on my radar. I find that mold to be one of the 'oddest ducks' in the TF universe.

Just wondering.

I am envious of your fantastic display and collection (this I think, being the highest complement one can give a fellow collector).
