Twenty bucks says he's a TRU/Target/Walmart employee.

I actually have a MISP Bumblebee in the trunk of my car that I completely forgot I had.

2 months of stores running, I HAVE NOT seen yet:

movie classic bumblebee
movie concept bumblebee
movie barricade

Either I have extremely bad luck or something's really wrong.

Cheers!

Heh, once the ebay hype over these dies down, I have a feeling some "entrepreneurs" like our friend on Craiglist might be returning a lot of product to stores, hopefully in time for xmas sales. ;-)

It's allready started. I bought 4 bumblebee's (2 for myself, 1 to trade, 1 to sell) on 3 different occasions, but the prices i saw on ebay werent anything that great, i'd rather keep them both for trade or somethign instead!

Agreed. I'd like to be there when these guys relize that they won't be able to give them away. And I'm not even against reselling, or even hoarding, but there is a reasonable limit, for Pete's sake.

the more I see of this, the more I want to pick a couple up to sell on ebay. But I would only pick up like one or two... that guy has a few too many, however... I just got my G1 repaint of Starscream for 30 bucks plus shipping, which wasn't bad at all.

for him to get that many , he got them at kohls.

the bumble bee shortage is not going away , only one 08 BB comes in a case of deluxes now. so for evey 12 figures in a case, only 1 will be a 08 bumble bee.

at they are still selling with ease at 25 dolars a figure on ebay.

They are starting to trickle in. Fortunately I finished my collecting (for now) although I held back from buying Recon Barracade and FB Jazz. Is G1 Starscream that tough to find? I must be finding the Targets on the days that they get stock in, cause I have seen TONS of Starscreams and G1 Jazz. Is T-Cracker and Rescue in wide release yet? Those may be two that I may still buy.

If the guy only has as many as in the picture, I doubt he's the reason there's no CC BB's in L.A. My Kohls had more than that when I went in there. And Wal-Mart had 10 on the pegs the other day. I actually saw two kids get 2 of them. So scalpers aren't getting them all.

But they ARE getting a lot! By the way, I only bought 2 of the 20+ I've seen in the wild.

of course he himself was not the reason there was any BB in l.a., it was exaggeration. but true the scalpers are getting a lot. i dont know where you're from but there are tons, bunches, teams, crews, and networks of scalpers down here in l.a. who sell not only on ebay and craigslist, but also at monthly and weekly comics and toy conventions, and also at their own individuals stores. on top of that theres the collectors, and the door warmers( both collectors and scalper alike), and then the kids who usually get whats left over :? .

Luckily, we don't have THAT big of a scalper problem here. We've only got one real asshole that ownes a large collectable shop and sends teams out to every store within 100 miles on the weekends.

Me and a couple of my friends have run into his crew on the occasional Saturday morning at Wal-Mart or Target with two buggies overflowing with every hot toy that's currently out. Then we'd go to his store on Monday and see all the new stuff at a 110% mark-up.

One day we followed one of his guys to 6 different stores in two towns and watched him strip the pegs and pay for it all with a VISA card.

But in L.A., where you probably have 10 or more guys that do that, not only on weekends, but probably every day of the week, I can see where you're just **** out of luck, unless you want to live at all the stores at the same time and beat the vultures to the new stock at 3 AM!

yea it sucks down here, you have to be real lucky for someone not to already have picked up a HTF figure before you. during the summer i went to the same target before the doors opened for two months straight. and as usual, they had the same 5 guys there as well as newcomers coming and going. unfortunately during that time nothing worht while came up :? .
