Why isn't Movie Bonecrusher selling at all?

Last week I foolishly passed up an opportunity at Jazz, Megs, Optimus, Brawl, Blackout (alone) and more because I was so smitten with finding Barricade.

Okay, maybe it had to do with dwindling finances trying to save up for my overseas education.

Anyway, after I returned to TRU the other day, all I saw were Swindle, Scorponok and Bonecrusher... I can understand Scorponok and Swindle not selling because Scorp is just a scorp and Swindle's a non-movie drone, but why is Bonecrusher still around?

Is he available at all your TRUs too? Like I'm talking easily 30-40 of these dudes just chillin'!

Where are you? I haven't seen Bonecrusher in these parts since July.

I could use a Bonecrusher. Can't find one in my neighborhood.

Vancouver, Canada.

That's crazy, there's so many here it's unbelievable... all of the other transformers are going like hotcakes but he's growing mold from sticking around so long!

Around here, Bonecrusher is the only in-movie TF that never saw retail =( ?

I'm on the opposite end of the country and it's the exact same thing. The only TFs that don't sell like crazy are Scorp, Jazz, Wrekcage, Brawl, Swindle and Bonecrusher.

Maybe its a canadian thing, Bonecrusher is EVERYWHERE here. I dont know if they made waaay to many of him or people just arent attracted to him for some reason but he just warms the shelves here in toronto.

Bonecrusher grows on you. The transformation is actually kinda nice.

I noticed someone in Houston said they couldn't find him. I think a lot of the Sam's still have the three pack Jazz/Brawl/Bonecrusher for $25. When I bought it I thought Bonecrusher would be the worse but Jazz' hands and Brawl's shoulders are bugging the heck out of me now.

I'm sure he's selling well, he's just been overproduced.

I haven't seen a Bonecrusher here in well over a month. And I'm 20 minutes from Canada. :?

I'll guess that he was overproduced, but the fact that he barely out-sizes Bumblebee might be a factor as well. He's just too small for the bad mo-fo he was in the movie (for all of 3 minutes...).

Maybe Bonecrusher isn't a big hit over there

He and Swindle did a good job of staying on the shelves a full fortnight longer than any other movie figure.

But now they too have all disappeared from the shelves.

Maybe the canadians are still cringing after seeing optimus prime stab him in the jaw and rip his head off. With the free health care up there ... I don't think they want children re-enacting that scene.

Or .. maybe Canadian officials are anti gay? Any figure that has taken ANYTHING (phallic in shape) in the jaw, is immediately outlawed country wide.

Could be that a lot of people are waiting for the inevitable Voyager or Leader Class Bonecrusher.

All my local Kohl's has is Bonecrusher. They managed to sell the Swindles, but BC is just sitting.

This is very bizarre to me!

First, for weeks BC was a shelf warmer. I remember going to a few stores where the TF07 line was dying out, and there'd be one single Deluxe left, and it'd be BC.

Then, forward a few weeks, and BC can't be found at all. Payload yes, BC no. I'd say Payload was the 2nd wave BC, but that'd be an insult because he's far inferior to BC in my opinion.

Finally, I decide I really, really want BC. So I go online to BBTS... the backorder's been sold out for weeks!

So I have to conclude that either people are really warming up to him, realising he might be valuable since wave 1 seems to be dying out, or it's a case of people not being able to get wave 1 first or second tier choices and buying what was left over.

Now of course, wave 2 has completely eclipsed wave 1. I don't think we'll get another infusion unless the DVD release or Christmas helps boost movie figures. Which suits me fine; I really want a MISB Bonecrusher and Scorponok!

They're re-releasing the first couple of waves. So everyone will have another shot at getting the cast figures.

I don't understand why Bonecrusher is a peg warmer...he is made completely of win.

and plastic, but mostly of win.

Well at least you have all seen a Bonecrusher. Up in Scotland there is not even a Deluxe lying on the shelf.

bonecrusher has to be one of the most solid movie line toys out. My two your old could throw it across the room and drive it all over the place and it wouldnt break. Its the only toy id transform and let her play with in robot mode cause its so strong and durable..

Thats why hes missing.

bonecrusher is a pretty cool toy. Certainly one of the better Decepticons. And he actually has an excuse not to have projectiles, unlike cough Leader Brawl cough.

And thank goodness they're re-releasing. Hopefully at the original retail price of USD$9.99?

I've been nagging about this for months. These toys just aren't toys any more. I remember in the past I'd try to transform or pose toys and nowadays it's like I must handle them with kid gloves. Toys like Bonecrusher, Longarm, Wreckage, Ratchet and Dropkick I can just play with. We need more durability!
