Cybertron Metroplex, DigiBashed into Devastator, should Hasbro do this for classics 2.0?

Ever since the mold for the Cybertron Metroplex toy was released, I kept thinking that he would make a great Devestator. Now Mind you, he would need a remolded head, and a whole in his chest for the front section to attach on him once he was in bot mode, but heck, this was really too easy... and he kind of reminds me of the devestator from Transformers Zone, with his staff and all, all that he'd need is his ceremonial cape!! Should Hasbro release him like this?

Now granted he wouldn't be a combiner, but I said to myself, who cares!!! Devestator could always be a giant construction vehicle!!!

Please never release again that terrible toy.

Yeah.. that would work, but the problem is that he's also a Gestalt, so the legs have to look completely different from each other.

Wait, was there something I missed about the Metroplex toy?? Is there issues with it, I wasn't aware of the fandom's hatred of that toy... or is it the digibash, I know I'm not an expert digiartist, and all.. but...sheesh!!! I gave it my best shot to get the idea across the best way I could think of, so you could see it in real colors and all... :(

besides, I seriously doubt Hasbro will ever release a fully anime accurate "voyager" set fo constucticons that merge and form a fully posable devestator... this is what I thought would be a little more practicle and may be possible in the future...for production cost cuts...and such...

Crappy alternate mode and transformation maybe?

Yeah it was a giant lump didn't really have much in way of articulation among other things. I do own him but main reason I have him because people always say that if you end up selling some of transformers at some point the cybertron ones go for more if you have the entire set from particular plant.

I don't know I don't own him, not yet, but his altmode looks okay to me... like a huge construction vehicle...with crane...

well if they ever turned him into devestator they could always improve the mold, I just figured he had more articulationt he the gestalt from the 80s ever had, plus the classics version already released looks like crap!!!

Actually, if they could hide the hands and head better and make the connection more solid for the weapon/crane in alternate mode, it could save the mold.

point taken, but they could rework him in altmode.. the basic character design I think is kinda cool.. and would make the production of him very easy to do, meaning it's more likely for us to get a good G-1 homage that wouldn't cost Hasbro an arm and a leg to do it.. thanks on the digibash compliment, had it not been soo late I probably could have done a better job...

Nah. We get enough Devestators.

He should be redone as Metrotitan.

Cool project, but i like my Energon Constructicon.
Cybertron Metroplex is a extremely cool, unique figure in my book. Slightly undersized, but when compared to Unicron and Primus... :-?

Cybertron Metroplex still rocks dat hard.

I don't care what anyone else says. That looks cool as hell. I wouldn't necessarily want that head or chest shield on him though. The Metroplx mold is nice enough to fly on it's own. Metrotitan wouldn't really be a big enough departure from the original scheme to make me the buy that mold again. A Devestatot job just might though. Nice work. I wouldn't want him for Classics per se. I would buy it under something similar to the focus of the original Universe line though. Looks good man.

Thanks, I just put the shield in there and the original head to give us a cool homage to the original.. I mean I think in the TF series zone, he didn't seperate from his Gestalt form..

I think that if they just went with a huge construction vehicle, that was all one piece, and looked like the original gestalt in bot mode, that would be cool too!!

you know, hide the features in Altmode as if the toy was seperate pieces that combined, but the one altmode was a huge construction vehicle platform, like Ultra Magnus is a car carrier, but transports construction vehicles instead..

only the vehicles and the whole movable truck are one transformer called, Devestator!!!

It's a departure from the original I know, but it works as being believeable and makes you think he's got detachable vehicles.."a good deception"...and then you realize, no wait!! they are a part of him!!!

No, it looks intresting on that pic but so did the original version.

I hate that mold very disapointing and well crap.

I want a real classics dev, with Six bots and looking a bit more G1 ish I never had a Dev so that's what I want.

Yeah, you are right, it's high time we get a G-1 Accurate Devestator with each bot being a voyager size, and once comnined they need articulation and ratcheted joints for superior stability and posing!!! Also he should have a posable head!!

Six bots, voyager sized.... hrrrm... 6 sets of £20.... isn't that £120??? Quite expensive... Nice idea though.
