I found out that hasbro is trying to get the rights to certain capcom characters to make kiss play style transformers line not that they will be all women there talk about using male characters as well. Personal I have no feelings one way or the other. What do you guys thnk would this work or not.

What possibility would there be? Megaman? Dante? Chris Redfield? Original characters are ok, but Capcom's ideas are too far out of the loop to fit with the Transformers.

Where and when? Not to sound mean, but I do not believe it. The Alt is pretty much dead and why would Hasbro make their own characters like say Spike and Carle?

I was at a borders books waiting for a friend and scaning the toy collecting magazine when I saw a picture of a Dante and what looked to be an deluxe sized energon like arcee standing together on front cover. So I picked up magazine and looked at the table of contents. Skipped to the article and basicly it said that hasbro was looking to get the rights to certain capcom figures which they would then release in a line with transformers that fit those figures. couple of examples were:
1. Dante and Arcee
2. Ken Masters from street fighter and Tracks
No were in the article was Alternators mententioned. As far as kiss play goes that just what guy writing the article used as a comparasion. I don't think it was a very good one.

Right, if this led to new, cool molds for characters, like Tracks, that need updated figures, then I'm all for it.
I don't think Hasbro would try something that includes "sex" like Takara did with Kiss Play, because they are well aware that their Western customers are actually VERY different from the Japanese.
So, I think as long as Hasbro just pairs up a TF and a human to work and fight together, and keeps any hint of sex out of it, then it could work. Especially if, like I said, it means we get updated TF figures for characters that need updated figures.

It's been some time back, but Hasbro already had the rights to Street Fighter characters when they launched the Street Fighter/GI Joe line which kinda moved sideways of the Ninja Force. I actually had a few of those figures.
As for the potential of this Line... meh, Capcom/Transformers seems more like a Takara thing than a Hasbro theme. I would rather they take advantage of two toy brands they already have the rights to though and create the Transformers/GI Joe and Transformers/Marvel lines we all want. Who wouldn't want a Wild Weasel at the stick of a Rattler that turns into Thundercracker?
I wouldn't list it as a Kiss Players concept, but just another cross over concept. Kiss players had a very specific idea of these girls kissing the robots to power them up. No one wants that again.

Not anymore, seeing as SOTA has and still is putting out those detailed Street Fighter figures that, if I recall, Counterpunch loves so much.
I call BS on this until I read it myself. I simply can't believe a rumor whose only current source is shortround.

If it means new alternator moulds (yes, I know it's KISS, but that's what I call em), then go for it.

if it was alternators, i wouldnt mind at all, it would give me a chance to actually get some. And even if it weren't, i've always had a thing for capcom, so it would be interesting seeing the two together

Make it a Resident Evil/Transformers crossover and I could go for that.

This rumor doesn't make any sense at all, especially considering that they're currently cooperating with Activision as far as video game industry ties go.
Not gonna happen.

You can always give the dolls to friends as a joke present, or keep them stored away/use them as firestarters and just keep the nice Alternators.

A-freakin'-MEN!
It still boggles my mind that to this day, barring the briefest of references on stuff like Tit Megatron, that Hasbro has yet to merge two of it's best selling lines in someway! I seriously would have thought they would have gone for a G.I Joe/TF crossover before a SW/TF one. It's a natural fit, especially with all the comic crossovers of the past, and could simply be amazingly cool. Make G.I Joe character drivers in a scale to fit with the already existing Sigma 6 Missions line and pair them with in scale TF counterparts. Sounds like money ready to be made to me.
A Marvel/TF crossover sounds even crazier than a SW/TF one if you think about it, but could be amazingly fun and waaaay better in execution than something like that weird Marvel Megamorphs line. Heh. They should do something really whacky and bash together two 'like' characters as some weird amalgamated toy. Have some messed up characters like Grimhulk ( Grimlock mixed with the Hulk ), Captain Prime ( OP mixed with Captain America ) or Megadoom ( Dr. Doom meets Megatron )! Hehehe... oh man, that's a drug induced fanfic waiting to happen...
