went to a wal mart today to find that 20th ann prime was 67$ when i scanned him in the price checker? is wal mart raising prices cause they know TFs are hot? or was it just this one wal mart being stupid.

It's $69.88 on walmart.com, so I guess they're making their own prices? What is the supposed retail for 20th Prime?
I did see Ultimate BB for $91 at my local walmart, cheaper than most places I've seen online.

geez, I guess they are jackin up prices. Like they don't have enough $$$ as it is. Uggh.
Seems kinda random that they'd have Ultimate BB for $91 then. I think the Deluxe's are $12-$13, at my local wal.....though I'm yet to actually SEE any figures, just lonely pegs on a rack.

I got mine for $50 as well. It was about a month or so ago. I wanted to buy a 2nd one the other day and noticed the price increase.
It'll go on clearance one day. I will continue to lurk around the display area until then.

It called capitalism or supply and demand people want transformers wal-mart is going try to make as much money as they can. Just look at the encore figures they were offering.

Yeah, I was surprised to see them a couple days ago going for 69.88, when just a few weeks ago they were pretty much the same price as the gajillion Primuses they have in stock.
Meh, seems like all they're getting is Primuses and Primes, and so I'll wait until they realize they'll never be able to sell 15 DVD Primes, all while they're getting in even more Primes, and buy it on clearance for like 30 bucks.

That's what I did last year. I waited until it was on clearance and got it for 29.99. I see it did go up to 67.99 here in NY. And that Primus did go up as well. 2 weeks ago it was 39.98 now its 46.98.

I think he originally retailed for 80 or 90 dollars.
He still is priced that at most TRU that still have him
around.
I have one I paid $25 for and am thinking of taking
it to Walmart to make a profit since the one by
me is selling them for $69.98
If anything they are just trying to get people to buy them
that don't wanna get it off the internet, would cost the same with shipping.

I've yet to see one at a wal-mart near me, much less any on clearance. Heck I still haven't even seen a Leader Class Brawl.

This makes me feel considerably better about getting mine for $ 46 on ebay. Sure, with shipping, it was 67, but oceans make things expensive.

I was able to get my DVD Prime from TRU.com during the summer for $22.50. As cool as he is, I wouldn't pay $70 for him. The Masterpiece version or 20th still looks better.

But it's currently $60 on HTS...I'm pretty sure that's the retail price, and if it's close to that, it's what you SHOULD pay...you got yours cheaper, and that's very nice for you.

Where I live the price is currently at $70 at the local wal-mart, I know of one in another city that sells it for $40. I got mine last year for $50 at the local Wal-Mart, they marked it down to $25 not too long after though.

The price for that Prime at Wal Mart ALWAYS has been 69.88. Most Wal Mart stores clearanced them for $50 because they weren't selling and they were just clogging up shelf space. But Wal Mart took all it's old stock back to warehouses to make room for the influx of movie toys. Now with the shelves being empty they restocked all the old stuff sitting in the warehouses at regular retail price. Calm down people. It's not a case of big bad Wal Mart trying to hurt the little guy. Relax if they don't sell this time they will clearance them back down again. Just hang in there and wait it it. There must be 10 of these Primes sitting at my local Wal Mart just asking to go back on clearance.
