Transformers Titaniums

This doesn't really have anything to do with the toys so I'm not exactly sure this belongs here but it does have to do with the packageing they come in.

Has anyone elce noticed that rather than recycleing the same boxes over and over again for the entire line every single one actully has it's own detailing matching the character itself?

I'm not sure about the smaller non-transforming ones because they're non-transforming I never pay attention to them. :P The bigger ones though  I allmost wanna buy the whole line just for boxes.

For example Rodimus' has his flames on the box and Cheetor's box has a big close up of his torso on the sides. (I don't really like Cheetor's box all that much just because it is just a close up of his torso but the rest are really good)

It be cool if every line was like this. Then you wouldn't even need to see the toy or the name to know who it was. You could look at any part of the box and go "Oh I know who that is." Or aven if you didn't know it'd be fun guessing. :) (Some of them aren't as obvious as others like if you asked me to identify WW Megatron just by looking at the side of his box I wouldn't be able to do it.)

I love the 6" Titanium boxes personally, with The Fallen's being my personal favorite at the moment. Yet another reason that line was/is a great one.

I do like the box designs, but hate trying to get the TF out without damaging anything.

My first Titi took 25 mins to extract

How's the quality and paint work of the Titaniums?
Does the paint chip off?

I haven't had any issues with paint chipping. But, I also do not "play" with them. Quality for the most part is fine. They tend to be a little top heavy and can be floppy as a result. Besides that I have been pretty satisfied overall, though Soundwave's design is questionable at best.

In terms of size, are they closer to a classic deluxe or classic voyager?

I'd put them closer to the deluxe category than anything else.

Standing Tit UM and Rod next to deluxes from Classics and Movie, they are slightly taller than deluxe figures; but not by much.

UM also seems to be a little taller than Rod, but that may just be how I've posed them.

They are 6 inch titaniums after all.

The boxes are nice but I'm a little disappointed with the figures inside. For example, I just got G1 Ultra Magnus over the weekend. The robot mode looks great with the exception of the missile launchers on his shoulders. The only way they'll attach is upside down. Maybe this was just a production error on mine but it was annoying. The alt mode worries me. There's not much holding the arms up as the top of the car carrier and both the arms and legs don't fit together well.

I'm glad I bought it since it looks great on display in robot mode but I'm even more glad that I found it at a store and paid regular price. If I had paid the ebay price for this when it first came out (as I was tempted to do) I would be a little upset.

I've done a couple of mods to mine to get it the way I wanted it.

First off the thighs are switched to allow the knees to bend backwards rather than forwards and add to posability. Secondly the shoulder pieces are swapped so that the connectors are on the right sides to allow the launchers to go on right way up. The instructions are drawn with the shoulders this way and I think the assembly was changed at the last minute when it was decided to add some faction symbols in robot mode. Transformation is unaffected, but the symbols that will now be visable in carrier mode will be the opposite way on to the one on the cab.

Just in case you're listening, I still love you Titanium Soundwave. Don't let all these mean people hurt your feelings.

 Can we please not shorten the names of Titaniums to Tit or Titi? They're not breasts or female in any way. Unless they make some female characters as Titaniums then they'll have titis.

Anyway... I'd say they're more like the size of Megas. (One size up from Delux, Voyager would be 2 sizes up I think. I never go by the Cybertron sizing names :P)
