BT-18 Clear Mirage - Have you opened yours?

I am having a hard time opening mine... Are most of you opening yours?

I sure wish it had a flap or clear plastic so you can display it inside the box... it definitely would have made the decision easier.

Mine will be here tomorrow. Still debating this one myself. I just love that mold, but I already have an opened Mirage so I don't know if this guy will get opened right away. Eh, to hell with it, he's getting free of his prison...

If you don't open it how do you know it's even in there? or its not broken in two and worthless? Honestly! I really don't understand you box collectors! Unless you're planning on selling it on stop agonizing over it and crack it open, you know you want to!

I am still debating whether to sell mine.

Although I'd love to open the box and add this figure to my collection--I already own Alt Mirage, and Alt Rodimus--I know it would fetch a hefty price on e-bay.

These things are going for, what, up to $200.00?

Insane.

If you never open, you might as well have left it at the store.

It's only one piece of tape and a twist tie. The plastic support in the box isn't even taped like previous BTs. Good grief, one piece of tape isn't going to destroy the value of the figure.

Course, I haven't transformed mine, but at least I know I got more than lead in my box.

I like how as a center piece, it makes a perfect transition from the red to blue...

If I can ever find the Motormax Concept GT that's supposedly out there, I may skip making my own Blurr and just put it on display with these guys.

Ok.. I'm definitely opening mine and keeping it... I'm never going to find this for $90 again... considering BBTS just raised their prices from $90 to $184!!

no surprise there. Their prices always increased based on what people are willing to pay.

but the fact that people are willing to pay that much now makes me all the more hesitant to open mine.

In the picture. Is the mirage on the far right stock or custom?

Actually. this is an easy one for me. I struggle with the decision if there is anice big window. In this case, whats the point of even owning it if you cannot see the figure. :???: It makes little sense to me.

Just buy another one and keep the second in the box.

sound advice...its not like you are going to lose money by buying a second one now. It will only become even more expensive.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Why are people obsessed with hording MISB figures when someone whose going to appreciate it to it's fullest could have it now! Thats what pushes the price up in the first place! Don't buy two, buy one open it and enjoy it! What are we fans or dealer?

Who knows it may be broken or has cracked in the box. Then MISB collectors may have deceived themselves that they are having a perfect toy inside the box but in actual fact the toy was broken!
How do you know the toy inside the box was intact??

Yup. In this case I agree. I have my fair share of MISB. However, those are situations where I felt the TF just looked too pretty in its pretty box to open. However, I can see the TF in these cases. A sealed box with no windows. Once again, I do not see the point of keeping it sealed unless you are some wierd toy invester person.

My far right or yours?

The 26 is decked out in the reprolabels.com kit.
