ATTENTION! let this be a warning to anyone that reads this, that hasbro can not be trusted, i hope you guys pass this on to anyone who is thinking of sending back a figure plz be warned. ok so about a month ago bb got broke, so i sent out for a replacement. instead, hasbro made me send the whole figure so they could replace it, today i got a package from hasbro after school. i open it with much excitement. unfortunatly that grin of excitment was slapped off to see a legends optimus prime. there was a letter too:
thank you for contacting hasbro canada corp. we appreciate your intrest in our company and its products.

we regret to inform thet due to extensive delay in recieving materials from our suppliers, we have been unable to expedite your order. we are however, taking the liberty of substituting it with one of equal value

blah blah blah
this indeed means that i can kiss my bb goodbye!
UPDATE: i hate hasbro!

So that has "equal value". How can Hasbro think that a $5 thing is equal to a $10 thing?

You'd better give them a ring.

Dude, NEVER send something back to Hasbro, the chance you get it back is practically 0. If you're lucky you may get something of equal value. Sadly you lost him. 'Tsa shame too, mighty fine figure is that '76 BB. Sorry.

Fine print reads equal or lesser... Ok, it may not actually say that on the letter but that's their policy.

Stolen not in there eyes you sent it in they did not have the right replacement so you got what they think is the next best thing.
Looks like your BB is a goner they replace it with one they thought was of equal value, your BB is most likely in a dumpster at hasbro...
bummer.
Best to learn how to fix it your self or not let a problem like that bug you so much you have to send it in.
Call them on it if it really bugs you just stay calm if you talk to them.

good luck

I actually based it on the US price. I later on saw you are Canadian.

In my country it's €16 for a Deluxe.

Dude, no, Hasbro RARELY return...
They also don't give a scrap about equal value, In their eyes you don't have the right to demand something of equal value, they covered themselves legally quite well, you spent the money, then you willingly sent the figure back. Besides, their argument would be that as it's been taken out of packaging & it's broken, it's worth less than retail price. You have no chance of getting him back. Count your losses & go buy another one when you get money. I know it's a bugger but thats all you can do.

Dude you just made my pretty-excellent-already day!!!

Sorry, got all creepy XD
Yea, for your sake I hope I'm wrong too, but I'm just trying to give you the response you need to cope with the worst. I'd be equally pissed if the same happened to me. Anyway, good luck, hope it goes Ok, my only suggestion is saying you don't care about the problem & you'd like the exact same figure returned, offer to send back the Prime, & try & either fix it yourself or get a kitbasher to.

I'm laughing, actually laughing.

I really do feel sympathy for you, this has happened to several other people but... damn.

They may as well have put a dried turd in the box with a note that says, "Gotcha bitch!"

Again dude, I feel bad for you. Hasbro is a bunch of asses about this kind of thing.

My door came off, too.

You know what I did?

Glue-gunned that sucker. Won't burn the plastic like super glue, and if you do it right, the plastic won't melt like you think it would. It was a bit hard and took about a half-hour to finally do it right, but it's stayed tight for over a month with transforming.

Man, that sucks. I've never actually busted a figure badly enough to need a new one, but if I ever did I'd consider it gone.

I guess you could try calling them, but I think you're gonna have to track down another.

nah You’re solid.

I remember the first time I heard about this thing with Hasbro. It was around when Energon Shockblast came out. He was, get this, much rarer by comparison to what Bumblebee is now.

Someone on here got a broken one. They tried to be responsible about it and send it back to Hasbro. They were gifted with Energon Ironhide as a replacement (a toy that on any given day, TRU had no less than 50 of).

We all learned a lesson that day.

You should call and complain. Seriously.

God, that sucks. My BB's arm like to come off a bit, but even if he were in 17 pieces I wouldn't let Hasbro or anyone else get ahold of him. He's been SOOOOOOOO scarce (only one I've ever, ever ever ever seen of any Deluxe BB...ever). He just sits there and nobody can get him, by God.

counterpunch, i will and wow was it concept bb or the one i got ripped on that was comparison?

moonbase, i have learned my lesson and your right, but i reeeaaally like playing with them. when i heard about the hasbro replacement center, i was jumping litterally jumping for joy, i should have asked someone on seibertron b4 but i wasnt that involved in seibertron at the time

Yes, on that day we all learned that with a little energon & a lot of luck... oh wait, thats not it....

Yes, on that day we all learned that knowing is half the batt-oh scrap! Don't worry I'll get it eventually...

Yes, on that day we all learned that while Counterpunch is a douche, he is not the only one... Hasbro executives actually make up 97% of the douche community... Me & C.P. make up the remaining 3% :P
