"As of today, "Toys r' Us USA" has made a deal with "Toys r' Us Canada" to become one corporation, known as "Toys r' Us North America". Will this result in Canada getting exclusives that you can now only find in the USA?"

Good news for all involved you would think! As of now this is our only source for the rumor, but when and if there is an official press release, we'll be sure to let you know here in the Seibertron.com Toy News!!

Now wouldn't that be nice. But we still don't have Target up here, so if this came about, would they make those exclusives available at another store here?

Always good to see a new gestalt, but I wonder if they'll maintain tradition and have the new personality be stupider than it's components?

I wonder, if this happened, perhaps it would result in prices which more closely match the current US/CDN exchange rate? Figures here are disgustingly overpriced if you actually go and figure out the conversion.

Why? We already get the TRU exclusives. They're just in very limited stock.

I couldn't think of anything else. It was just such a G1 thing for someone to yell. I'd like to think the chairman of TRU actually shouted something similar. Possibly whilst incorporating a threat to a rival corporation.

TRU Canada gets nothing available in Japan, we just get most of the US stuff.

That's good news! Our selection of Transformers here is pretty good but I'd like to see more G.I. Joe stuff, it's almost nil.

On the one hand, Canadians might get better treatment.
On the other hand, if it's all one conglomerate, the Canadians and Americans will get new figures first. (Canada sometimes gets new figures before America sees them)

Hence, the R-U-M-O-R tag. The source must be reputable enough for them to count it as news at Cybertron.CA. But as I said, rumor until we know more information, or see an official announcement.

We generally get the TRU exclusives in Canada. The only one I can think of that I never seen at a local store was the recent 10th anniversary Primal vs Megatron box set. We got all the commemeratives (sometimes before the US), and I think most others.

Canada? they also should include Japan, call it the TRU Trans-Pacific
That way we all will get Japans exclusives
