New to BBTS, what a shopping experience!

Well recently I have been in hunt for Alternators/Binaltech figures, most activities on eBay ofcourse. I know about BBTS (never shopped with them before) and visited their site numerous times before, and 90% of their Alternators & Binaltech are sold out (or a bit pricey).

I was looking up Dead End on eBay and wasn't happy with the scarce availability and inflated prices, so I visited BBTS again. BAM!!! I saw 85% of Alternators figures were listed as "Available" (in green color), so I was very excited seeing what's presented in front of me. I added Dead End to my cart (happy with price), Oh right I need Wheeljack too! Wow Wheeljack only sells for $29.99 each, let me add it to cart and decide if I want to get double. Nope, it says quantities limited (at this point I wasn't even alerted of the short quantity). So I continued shopping and added Shockblast to my cart (happy with price again). Next I added Sideswipe, and I CAN'T BELIEVE MY EYES!!! Wheeljack & Shockblast disappeared from my cart, what has happened???

At this point it's like you're driving a car approaching an intersection with yellow light, step on gas or slam on brakes? QUICK! you only have 1/10 of a second for decision making. So I change into my battle-shopping mode, confirmed Wheeljack & Shockblast were swiped away by other online shoppers, I quickly browsed and added Hound, Silverstreak & Camshaft into my cart, created new account, entered my credit card faster than accountant's 10-key speed. Submitted order and checked my email for confirmation.

*Sigh of relief* At least I got Dead End, Sideswipe, Hound, Silverstreak & Camshaft out of this crazy shopping experience with BBTS. (I wish I could get Wheeljack, Shockblast & Decepticharge too, but I'm satisfied ATM)

Is it often like this when shopping with BBTS or was this a special small spur restock I happened to stumbled into?

Cheers all!

It happens... I did that with MP-05 Megatron and BT-18 Clear Mirage.

In fact... the BT-18 Clear mirage is in stock now... but for double the cost.

If you shop at BBTS, turn pile of loot on. That way, the figures don't ship until you tell them to. Then, buy the items as quickly as you see them (buy, not add to cart). It all adds to the pile of loot. It's a longer process then adding to the cart buy guarantees you get what you want.

BTW, what probably happened is that BBTS purchased a lot of alternators for a fair price and broke them up and sold them. It is very rare nowadays for BBTS to have alternators.

Wow, didn't even know its such a shopping battle for the Alt. Since I mostly just collect BTs and haven't been buying any since Kiss Hot Rodimus, and didn't even noticed that they all became high priced sort-out figures, both BT & Alt.

Good that I bought early and have all the ones I want.

Well if they are fairly priced, they are quality figures, and highly desired.

Not surprised.

I am surprised mainly because they don't cost much just a year or so ago, and you see deadstock BT and Alt in a lot of local or online stores. Even have the leisure to get my red BT Meister only wait until it was on sale. So it makes a big difference when they became the hottest thing in such short period of time.

Not surprised those alts are all very good.
BBTS prices are very good, but the shipping (which is not their fault) is the main thing that deters me from using them.

Really wish I hadv'e been able to grab more alts instore, but Hasbro decided not to release the majority of the line in actual stores here.

That's taking it a bit far, don't you think? I love BBTS, but they mark things up too. Notice the jacked up prices of the clear BT Rijie??? It was $80 on pre-order, and now they sell it at collector's prices!!!

They know supply and demand as well as anyone, and they only sell initial releases for decent market prices. Restocks and others are a different story. :-?

I have a question to those who have bought Encore Megatron from BBTS: How is the orange plug looking? Is it just a simple, removable thing like the MP one?
