Hi guys, im new to the forum, but a long time transformer fan. I recently purchased a New in box Magnus/Skywarp 2 pack on ebay for $25 shipped. Is this a good price? (im looking for a classics bumblebee (NIB) if anyone has it) Can anyone give me a little more insight on this 2 pack. How are the figures in terms of transformation and quality?
Thanks guys!

lucky you, well done! I don't have a version of the Prime/Magnus mold but the Starscream toy (which Skywarp is a repaint of) is bloody fantastic. Best Seeker ever. Lots of people seem to really like the Magnus toy too, although the design is a bit off for G1 Prime, I suppose I could maybe accept it as naked Magnus.
$25 is well cheap. Not sure what it goes for normally but from what I recall that's about retail price. Anyone? Bueller? Anyone?

Welcome to the forum.

The Skywarp/Magnus pack is fantastic. $25 posted is pretty good. As for the toys, they're two of the best Classics figures. Great quality, and I found the transformations to be fun without being head-scratchingly difficult. Especially love how Magnus' weapons transform, and that you've got the option of one hand gun, two hand guns, or a combined shoulder weapon. You'll love 'em.

Given they were exclusive to Target which made them kind of rare and went for $20 retail you got a very good price. It's like you paid the $20 then $5 for shipping. You probably paid only a couple of dollars more than I did since I bought it in the store for $20 plaus tax.
They're great figures in my book. Skywarp is fantastic. Ultra Magnus is very cool too even if he is a white repaint of Optimus Prime.

Thats great to hear guys! Before I was just excited to get the figure, now I can't wait! I actually really want a starscream figure, but some of the pictures I've seen of it looked a bit cheap, with all due respect. I imagine that in person it must be fantastic! Thanks again guys!

You certainly got them for a good price. $25 with shipping is almost ripping the seller off.

Oh yeah, Classics Starscream is quite possibly the best TF I own.

If I were to get a Classics Starscream, how much should i pay? It looks pretty expensive on ebay right now. Do you think the prices will go up, in which case I will pick one up soon.

Get a Starscream while you can. Unless he gets rereleased in Classics 2 (universe), I only see Starscream continuing to go up. If there's no rerelease, he could approach $100.

With all the movie hype going on right now. I'm not sure how much it will go up but wait untill after october when dvd comes and price should go down around nov or dec. A good price for a starscream would be $15 because the figure started out $9.99 plus tax. I have classic bumblebee but it is mib I got an extra one when they first came out.

Yeah, that's a good price. I was broke and not hunting when Target cleared them out for $10 so don't lose any sleep over the sellers losing money. Still kicking myself for that. The price seems to have settled at +$30 online so you still got a good deal. I paid $15 for a loose skywarp alone and i'm waiting for him to show.

Super helpful guys!! hopefully by the end of the week, I'll have picked up a starscream! This community is awesome btw! I have never had so many informative posts in such a short time. Other forums contain way too much flaming. I think I found a home

You may also want to try looking instores as well, lots of reports that stores have restocked with Classics and Cybertron figures. I wouldn't pay over about US$20 with shipping for Starscream if you can, Skywarp is easily the better version of that toy.
Also you may want to try other ebay sites, like ebay.com.au, there are a tonne of the double packs with Starscream and Rodimus on it, for decent prices, not sure on shipping to the USA though.

I just got the Starscream/ Rodimus value pack at tru for Au$35, not a bad price since the first ss I got was Au$28 by itself at kmart. They also had the Bumblebee/ Astro Train pack... I was tempted because I don't have bb but I didn't want another Astro Train. Good times.

I envy you. I can't find it for any less than $40. I almost ordered it a cpl weeks ago for $50, but decided to save. I'm kicking myself now because it went up to at least $70 since then.

I got that two pack off of e-Bay myself. I love Skywap and Ultra Magnus looks really really good. If you take them out of the package, beware. I have NEVER seen so many tie-downs on a toy in my life. And I'm a mother AND a collector.

Welcome to the boards, frgtn340. You got what is probably one of the best 2-pack TFs of all time IMO.
Don't forget about Ramjet too, he can still be found in a few stores if you look for him.

Nice. The whole time I've been working with just my fingers. I'm stupid like that sometimes.

Ya, that is a good price, I paid full price for my first one I used the # and got them from the back, the only time I ever saw them at my local Target.
The second set however, I got for $2.54 because they were trying to dump the exclusive off the shelf, unfortunately they only had one left, I could have sold it online for mormal price and made a profit.
My gf even said she would not have let me leave without buying it.

Nice purchase! I'm not really a Magnus fan and already had Prime, so I was lucky enough to come across a loose Skywarp. They're both great molds though, really fun toys.

Welcome, and excellent pickup! Skywarp is hands down my favorite Classics figure, even ahead of Jetfire. Magnus is alright but nothing to write home about.
As for Starscream, he may be expensive but I don't feel he's worth the hype. Compared to Skywarp his paint apps and plastic are poor quality, they didn't even bother to paint his face silver. If you can get him for $20-30 I'd say do it, but even at that price you'll feel like you overpaid.
