Idea for galleries... downloadable zips?

unfortunately, there isn't always a time when i have internet access that i really have time/desire to click through so many images.
would it be possible to include a download link to a zip file of all the pictures for a figure? that way I could DL the directory, toss it on my laptop, and look through it at my leisure on a plane ride or something (i travel frequently)
I also seem to find myself relooking at certain figures alot, and would rather just open the directory than taxing the seibertron server each time.
if the traffic/data flow it would create would not be too devastating (hah!) is something like this possible, assuming our lovely host had no objection?
