Before I found this place I would leave most of my transformer finding to luck what the stores in my area would have or ebay once in a while for for my beloved G1.
Once I found this place not to long ago I went into info overload this place rocks and the people to.
This has to be the friendlyest TF site out there.
With the sightings y'all posted I would know when and where to find things costing me more money then y'all would post about hasbro site like pepsi prime up for sale and gone in 2 hours or less I was one of the lucky ones to get from them for a mere $24.95 and more money
I have spent more money on transformers just being a member here then I would have ever thanks for costing me money and making my TF collection grow and my bank account shrink.
I am glad to be a part of this place thank you all for making this so much fun...

Any one else find them self's spending more just coming here?

Oh yeah. I bet in the last three months I have probably spent over $500 dollars, at least $200 of which was on comics (catching up and some old stuff). I've bought quite a few toys, and four t-shirts. Oh and the movie, which I've seen five times (usually less than six dollars for the tix, tho). Being a TF fan is NOT cheap. But it's fun. I can thank this place for a lot of info.

compared to colecting cards, it is cheap, in the sense that you get what you pay for... sometimes

The forums have not made me spend anything extra than I think I would have anyway. It's just made me want figures earlier/more than I did before I visited them.

However, Ryan's Galleries have made me hunt down many figures I would never have known about.

Yes, seibertron.com has cost me money, a lot more money. To be honest, my girlfriend probably hates the fact that I found this site, considering all the crap I've bought because of the information I've gathered from here.

But, my collection certainly doesn't mind it :D

WTH? $200.00?!

And yes. This site has absolutely killed my wallet. I said no to the movie drones, Arcee and Wreckage initially...

The people kept proclaiming their love for the figures and which ones were cool, etc.

I ended up buying a lot more figures than I initially planned.

I'm not complaining, because I enjoy them, but yeah, Seibertron's cost me some dough. lol

Yes, yes, and yes. I've spent a lot of money and aggravated the hell out of my girlfriend with my Transformers "hobby". And everything I want, when to get it, where to get it, and how much it's going to cost comes from HERE! Sometimes I feel a little guilty spending so much, so I've started to sell stuff I don't need to help offset the costs. Unfortunately it doesn't help much as once I have everything I think I want, I end up reading about something new (or old) on this forum, and I'm out hunting for the best deal again!

Wow, it's dangerous being able to afford to get (almost) whatever I want. It wasn't like this when I was a kid!

I never ever planned on buying more than the TF Movie figures, and even then, it was just Bumblebee I was looking for.

Six Real Gears, a bunch of Classics, and an Arcee and Longarm later, and I've already spent a good amount of money.

And now that I've discovered the wonder of THS-02 Convoy from Seibertron, I've made it my life goal to try to buy all three Hybrid Styles.

THANX A LOT U JERKS

I wouldn't necessarily blame the site or even the fandom. I'd blame my expanding horizons in my collecting focus. When I started seriously collecting again. It was Optimus Primes only. Back then, there wasn't a whole lot to pick from. Then the reissues started creeping in and my focus expanded. Then the current lines started to do homages to G1 characters I liked. Once again my focus grew larger. Shortly afterwards, despite originally despising Beast Wars toys and everything they were, I fell in love with the show. Guess what happened. So I started slowly picking away at collecting the show cast. Alternators, I instanly adored and went completist for. I'd have to say that the last couple years my collection has grown by leaps and bounds. But, it's all on my head. No one forced me into anything I've gotten and I wouldn't have it any other way. Despite years of people saying go here, do this, buy that, I still make my buying decisions by doing the research myself. I will say that the fandom can be a very precise tool when used properly and I am thankful for the site and the people I've grown friendly with and have had the pleasure to meet.

It's been an invaluable resource for me. I would have never known Kohl's was getting TF toys in otherwise. While I didn't get Concept BB, I did get a couple others I hadn't seen yet.

About the only thing it's convinced me to buy is the movie Starscream G1 repaint. Which is a purchase I'm happy with. :D

Absolutely. In typical American fashion, I'm planning on suing Seibertron.com for making me buy more Tformers than I should. It's totally their fault, not mine. And the best part is, with the 100 million dollar settlement, I'll be able to complete my G1 collection.

I have nothing but love for this site.

It really helped me find the tfs I've always wanted.
Plus the ODB thread has time and time again helped me find what I wanted straight away, and having a laugh along the way.

This site?

No.

My lack of self-control, lack of willpower, and a lifestyle of excess?

Yes.

God yes.

Hells yes! Ryan's galleries have convinced me to buy a figure many a time. But then, they've convinced me not to. :-? You can find out a lot about a figure, good or bad, which you wouldn't know if it weren't for this site. And then there's the figures you'd know absolutely nothing about (Japanese exclusives) if it weren't for the site.

So yes. Yes it does.

LOL @ DevastaTTor's post.

Nope. Not at all. I've used the galleries for research but that's about it. All purchases have been of my own doing because it's stuff I wanted. Wants which have no way been influenced in any way whatsoever by this site.

You people are just brain washed sheep. :P

ROFLCOPTER LOLLERSKATES, yeah that's about how I've been. My wife being out of work has gotten me to slow down considerably, but now that she has a new job she starts Monday, I'll have some assistance paying the bills again and my TF splurge can return!

You make a good point. Personally I only pick up what I want
and don't care who wants what or doesn't like whatever.
I did however recently pick up the Universe Ramjet Armada mold
because someone posted picks of the Armada seekers.
I just decided after seeing them all together that would be a collection I would like.
The galleries just helped me finalize that decision.
