I recently got the Optimus Prime vs Megs classics 2 pack with the boring DVD and was wondering, since I like that Prime alot and stuff. Would the THS Hybrid Prime be a nice collection to it or is it almost just like the Deluxe prime I has? Opinions and such appreciated. wrawr =D

There were two Hybrid Convoys. I'm assuming you're interested in the G1 version. He's nice, but not a toy really. He's more of a collector piece. Some bits feel like they could be fragile. He's fairly small too. I believe he's about four inches tall in robot mode. He comes with some great accessories and the trailer opens up. It houses Roller and the repair drone and can be used to store all his bits besides the display base. He's worth the original price of roughly $60. I wouldn't get him if you're rough at all with your figures. He makes a great display item though.

I'm also interested in Hybrid Convoy, all three versions of them actually.

Here's a thread from a few pages back that gives some pretty decent info.

In my opinion, Hybrid Style G1 Convoy is the single best representation of the character released to date. He even edges out MP-04 because he's got a ton of accessories that MP-04 didn't. Roller, Sideswipe's Backpack from MTMTE part 3, and a stand so you can have him hold ANY pose. Mine is currently in his famous Transforming to shoot all the Decepticons" pose from TFTM.

It is an amazing addition to any TF collection and well worth the price, imo.

I just noticed that Remy has a gallery up for THS-02. So you can go check him out for yourself!

Did you guys get all your THS figures online? I'm going on a hunt tomorrow to all the comic book and toy shops around here to check out if they might actually have them in person. There's one place that has a very very good chance of having them. They'd make for a great birthday present to myself. :D

I bought mine in my local comic shop but this was when it was first released. I know I bought the second out of two they ordered for the store. Otherwise I probably would have gotten mine from an online source.

Sweet, thanks for the replies and I mostly just transform my figures, and pose em at times. I also do stop motion and was going to get hybrid G1 Prime for it too, but if he's 4 inches..Hmm

Small point, but he doesn't come with Sideswipe's rocket pack. Sider's pack was red and attached without straps. The pack that comes with Hybrid Prime is far more like the ones used in Dinobot Island.

BigBadToyStore.com has the THS-02B for $68 ... 20% off regular price... The box is substandard so this is good for people that want him loose.

IDK, the whole "wizards sleeves" look bothers me a tad. The alt. mode seems to suffer a bit too. Over all though, it looks like a pretty solid figure.

THS-01 and THS-02 are truly tiny masterpieces. Transformation for THS-02 is surprisingly complex for a figure this small and he has the best trailer of all Primes known to mankind.I would be all for a tiny THS-03 (or THS-04?) of Movie Prime with die-cast.

He's quite loose, but, that is made up for with all the accessories and the AWSEOME FRIGGING TRAILER.

He is one of the few toys that will be displayed don my desk. Any pose I want, even inappropriate ones.

Whem I originally responded, THS-02B had slipped my mind as a third THS. I forgot how nice he looks and that I needed him for my black Prime/Primal/Convoy collection. BOOOOO for having expensive collecting goals. I think after I get all my Beast Wars collection squared away, I'll pick up the other two.

TakaraTomy really did great design work to incorporate great detail on such a small toy.

That is no joke... I sure hope they continue making these. It's so hard to explain unless you see it for yourself. I find myself just standing there staring at it for long periods of time. Definitely my favorite 3 figures.

I have the Hybrid Prime from Galaxy Force, he's pretty cool. But I love my Leader Class Prime much more. Yet, the little one does have his qualities about him. It's really up to the collector, as long as they don't mind tiny toys with high amounts of detail.

A small toy won't take up much space on my shelf
