The Humble Bumble

I have collected almost all of the movie toys so far, I picked up Ultimate Bumblebee yesterday, and I think he is one of the coolest so far. He is insanely huge. He is well made and quite simple to transform after you have done it once or twice. His plasma misslile doesn't always fire on cue, however, that might just be a fault in the one I bought and not commonplace with all of them. Another cool thing about him is that his box doesn't have to become destroyed when you take him out, Once you get past all the (overly ambitious wire ties from the nutjob who packaged him) you can put him back in his box to protect him and display him MIB if you wish. He does display well like that.

Overall I think he is very well worth the money, and alot of fun.

Meh, I still think hes not woth 80.A friend of mine has one and I've fiddled around with it and here's my lists of faults
1)Corny affects. the wings and the arms just make this thing annoying.
1)Lights: WHAT CAR HAS BLUE HEADLIGHTS?!
2)Lack of details. For the price this thing is not very detailed. The bot mode looks rather plain and fat not too interesting
3)No car details: For $80 there should be an interior. I mean a 20 alternator had more detail than this!
4)Painted windows make the car look even more fake.

Verdict:Buy it if you want but for 10 you can get a more accurate, more poseable, and better articulation buy the deluxe. If you must have it wait til is goes on clearence. I can guarntee that within 5 months this things gonna be like 20 and only then will it be worth the price.
There rant over,

I have not yet taken mine out of the box ...yet.
but reviews like this are very helpful and makes me want to open the biggest transformer car ever I think any transfan should own one while they are still in retail because later I bet this one will be Hot Hot Hot and more moola later.
I am still torn about opening him not only room but cutting the tape is hard to do I am half misb collector.
nice to see that someone enjoying him and sharing there thoughts.

I also am a half MISB collector as well. I guess what got me to open him was I decided I didn't want his batteries to go bad and ruin him if I left him misb. Heh! it was a valid excuse to myself even if not much of one. Honestly he does really display well MIB, although you are correct value does go down at the cut of the tape. Enjoy him, whatever you decide. :D

I do agree Mr. Bond they could have done some things better as far as detail. The alternators were awesome in detail as you said, however, they didn't have to hold batteries, lights and a speaker system. I also agree with you that Ultimate Bee will come down in price in a not so distant future. :D Kudos!

fair enough, but like i said i would have been happier if they had less electronics and a nice interior with maybe even a sam and mikeala figure 8)

You're kidding me, right?

Do you drive?

There are cars that have blue headlights. They're called Xenon (for Halogen headlamps) and HID (High Intensity Discharge Lamp) and they're the brightest, most intense headlights available. (well...ones that are 100% street legal.)

Bumblebee's headlights are actually accurate. (Though their blue tone is a tad excessive. The real deal isn't quite like that. It's more of a purplish tone.)

They're expensive too. HID systems require changing over your entire headlamp system, and can be as much as $400.00

I got one as a bday present (I have the coolest father-in-law) I am also one that will not rush to open but I did open this...and I really like it its really just fun. Its not a collector piece its a fun toy, I love it in car mode the rev of the engine the screeching breaks!

Its just a fun toy.

i kinda wish i would have left mine in the box... for i am half and half as well. (misb collector that is) but i would have never gotten over the curiosity of what hes like out of box and it would have killed me!

I was the same way at first Travicon, but then realized that Ultimate Bee has too much to offer that can't be experienced left in the box. As much as MP-05 Masterpiece Megs is built mostly for display, Bee (even though he displays very well too) is as much for opening and transforming and playing. One wouldn't know (except what is told) of his engine sounds, music and voice. I think the designers knew this and this is why he snaps so nicely back into the black mold plastic which holds him to display in his box after opening. Of course the decision to open him is a personal thing, I can see the logic both ways. 8)

Primus I hate those things. They completely slag my eyes. Especially when some bumpking leaves his brights on, or when the angle of the hill sends the beams straight into your retinas. :-x

This is where the battery pack is hidden in car form. Not much of an interior.
