Is Star Saber worth it?

My local comic store guy is able to hook me up with a Star Saber for around $275. It is not MISB, but MIB and includes everything except intructions. And decals are already applied.

So is this figure worth it? It is REALLY a lot of money for one figure. What woud you guys rate it out of 10? What are the pros and cons? :-?

Go for it. Star saber rocks like you wouldn't imagine.
Pros: So much in one figure!
What you're actually getting is a figure called Saber. Saber is a Brainmaster. Saber's vehicle mode can attatch to the jet transformer's equivalent of a trailer. The "jet trailer" has some sort of "base mode" (I'm told) that the brainmaster can interact with. The "trailer" also turns into armor for Saber. Very nice.
Cons: Star Saber is a brick. To be honest, the Robotmasters version looks much better and has much better proportions. But that one lacks the brainmaster.

See Seibertron's galleries if you really want your mind to be made up.

Rly? Does it have any articulation at all??

BTW, I love your custom Unicron. Are his wings attatched to his shoulders??

Isn't there a reissue for about $100?

I think they reissued Star Convoy, not Star Saber.

I have a knockoff of the Robot Masters Star Saber mold and its head actually flips back, reveiling Saber. He can be pulled out and transformed in robot and jet modes, just like the G1 version, only much smaller.

G1 was three bots and RM is only two. A brainmaster for the smaller bot, than the middle sized bot that folds up and turns into the chest of Star Saber in his largest armored/combined form.

That is an insane amount of money for something that has already been opened, stickers have been applied, and is missing instructions. Without instructions it is not MIB.

How to describe the articulation :-?
It's like God Ginrai/Powermaster Prime, but with elbows. The legs can move out to the sides and the arms move at the shoulders and elbows. Don't let this be a turnoff. The figure is still pure awesomeness. It doesn't matter that it isn't mint. You will want to play with the thing as soon as you get it.

O and the custom Unicron isn't mine. But yes it is very nice. The wings do attatch at the shoulders but in a way that still allows it to transform properly without removing them. Like I said, it is very nice. It is exactly how Armada Unicron should have been done. I show that picture to make people realise that Armada Unicron isn't as accurate as they say and that Hasbro could have made it perfect with simple paint changes and slight remolding. Maybe they could release it that way for Classics 2.0 :-? I would buy a second Unicron if it looked like the custom.
