Ultimate Bumblebee and MP Skywarp Get!

I've had a very good day today when it comes to adding to my collection. First I found Ultimate Bee (Target in Perth City), then I found MP Skywarp at Empire Toys on Hay St.:)

I wasn't originally going to get Ultimate Bee but I'm glad I did. The robot mode is nicely detailed and featured but it's the alt mode that makes it for me -- the Concept Camaro is impressive here, even moreso than the Deluxe version.

I haven't transformed Skywarp yet because I'm still to busy admiring his jet form -- very impressive and the colours leave MP Starscream for dead.

BTW, has anyone calculated the scale of U Bee? I'd be very interested to know what it is. Unfortunately I don't have any access to measuring tools (ruler) atm.

So yeah, very happy with both figures so far. Skywarp may even replace Starscream in my MP display at home (at least until the anime accurate Screamer arrives).

Way to go! Is he not the sexiest jet you have ever laid your eyes on?

Indeed. The G1 original was already a sexy machine yet the MP leaves it for dead. Makes me wonder what the inevitable Thundercracker will look like too.

I'm transforming Skywarp now and the only bit I have left to do are his feet -- I can't seem to get any leverage to move them. Any hint? It's been yonks since I tfed Screamer and I can't remember if his feet were so stubborn too.

I slid the tips of my nails under the silver, made sure to apply plenty of pressure so as not to slip and then pulled up, then rotated it into the correct position.

This is one of those times that I wish I didn't bite my nails.

edit: Nevermind. Persistance wins again. I must say that Skywarp is still the more satisfying purchase out of these two. Although I'm probably a bit biased in that I was a G1 fan who always like Skywarp but have never had the original toy.
