What would you do if Transformers were discontinued?

That's right I'm asking!

We all know that Transformers will not be made forever. As the saying goes, "All good things eventually come to an end." So I ask, what do you think you'll do should Transformers no longer be made? Keep your collection? Sell it off? Pass it on to another younger family memeber? Have it buried with you? :P

Thoughts? I'm curious what you all think on that.

I'll probably set in on fire and inhale the fumes so that I can always have transformers inside me.

Yeah, or I can just go to sleep, not worry about collecting anymore.

Until you breath out that is...

:P

In seriousness, I believe that if Transformers get discontinued within my lifetime I shall go to a room by myself, make sure no one can hear, cry for a few hours, come out, sit on the couch & watch some TV.
Then I'd make plans for my last ever Transformers buy & leave it at that. I'd decide which special figure to spend as much money as possible on. Then I'd take down my display, set up a new one, save up for a reasonable sized tomb, write directions for how they should be set up, then I'd grow old, die & be buried with my collection.

If it gets discontinued after I die, then YAY!

If they were to get discontinued, they would probably become some of the most expensive Collectibles ever.

I'm 26 and I've been collecting transformers since the 1st year they came out and have loved them ever since. I have an entire bedroom in my house totally 100% dedicated to transformers toys(wall to wall, floor to ceiling)If they disappeared I'm sure a part of me would die with them

QFT.

For me, before Transformers, I was big into card games
(Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic the Gathering). The Magic Cards I keep
accessible because my friends are still heavy into it and it's
fun to play against em still, but the Yu-Gi-Oh cards are boxed
up and put away somewhere, though I always carry at least
one deck with me when I go into any local hobby shops or
over to my friends' houses, because they played it too.

For Transformers, I'd scour the secondary market for any product
I want but may have missed, buy a big ol' glass display case
and keep them there. Perhaps I'd pass them to my kids, or in
lieu of my own, to the child of a close friend or family
member. Or better still, if I could find a museum or preservation
society, I donate to them.

If Transformers were discontinued, then I'd take all the energy and money I had for them and focus it on getting laid.

I would be very very upset. I think I would cry and help everyone write to Hasbro to see if we could get them to change their minds.

If they still wouldn't, I would keep collecting. I cannot collect a lot at a time and still take care of my family, so the collecting will most likely be going on as long as I live. I personally would love to have some of them buried with me, but my church doesn't allow it. Figures. (no pun intended there.)

Most likely though, Transformers will still be made after I die (not that I actually plan on dying mind you). Barbies have been being made for a lot longer then Transformers and they are still going strong. So I try not to worry too much!

ALSO...

My wallet would still get raped if they were discontinued because there are still hundreds upon hundreds of Transformers out there that I have always wanted. I don't think I could ever be done collecting even if there were no new Transformers :D

seen as i get most of my transformers from the secondary market anyway it would give me a chance to complete collections without new and desirable tfs coming out all the time - damn them how am i supposed to plan my finances with new kickass stuff being released all the time

Blow up Hasbro's main headquarters, kill myself, and take Hasbro's owner with me.

I'm not sure of the details, but it would involve a selection of my knives, a lot of swearing, and blood running in the streets.

I look forward to it.

I would also somehow take over the copyrights and reproduce every single transformer I could ignoring child saftey laws (such as the if it breaks after being dropped)such B.S.

I would produce a fully diecast Fortress Maximus

I'm an 80's kid and I survived my childhood with sharp edged toys and Diecast parts. Kids today are either sissyfied or stupid, everything has to be plastic (Please don't attack me for my opinion  )

Truth hurts friend, and as soft as kids feelings are these days, it hurts a lot. I agree, its not the toys, its the parents who don't teach their kids any better.

If TF's were done forever, well, I probably just save some money each month. But then with the Alts done, I'm pretty much out of the game anyway.
