1970's Bumblebee no where to be found in stores...right?

Is it just me or has the 70's BB just disappeared from stores? I've seen and heard about people picking up 08 BB and all of the other deluxes but never any mention of 74BB? I've checked the sightings thread and it does seem to pop up once in awhile but here in Washington it's been well over one month since I've even see one on a peg. Even on the toy haul thread barely any mention of him. If I were to put in a couple strong hunting days I know I could pretty easily find 90% of the movie deluxes I already have but when it comes to the 74BB I have completely written that one off.

When was the last time one of you guys walked into a store and found a 74BB hanging on a peg?

At this point comparing the two I would have to consider the 74BB more rare than the 08BB....yeah I said it!

This thread is only pertaining to deluxes. I know other TFs have been really hard to find also such as...rescue ratchet, thunder cracker..etc

Actually they just recently released a combo pack of the 74 camaro BB & Barricade. I saw one just a week or 2 ago, though they're gone now in my area.

Most of my movie figures I got before the movie actually came out. Considering the popularity & limited stock, it was probably a good thing.

You're right. That is funny. Funny how I can't find anything anymore due to people buying vast quantities of anything they see before I get there. Funny how there are so many others like me out there. Funny how someone out there would just LOVE a Barricade or Bumblebee. Really funny.
:BLACKEYE: I might have wanted one of those you know!

Oooh. First mistake: Trying to reason with a person like red.
Second mistake: Wanting anything.

Don't you know we're not supposed to want? We don't deserve anything? Only the hoarders and scalpers do!

Yeah, I think it's a bunch of crap too, Chaos.

That's capitalism for you....pay to play, first come first serve, & all that jazz. If you want one bad enough, they're available. They may not be the cozy $10 you'ld hope for, but at least you'ld have one. If you don't want to pay to play, then, well....sugar-coat it any way you want but it pretty much means you really don't want it as much as you claim to.

& This comes from someone that has been collecting constantly for nearly 6 years now. There have been several figures that I had to pass up on because I wasn't willing to pay to play. But you don't find me b*tching about it very often.

actually every figure i picked up this weekend was not even on a shelf. not my fault the stores dont put them out, thats what upc numbers are for.

how about this, i went to a kohls yesterday and they didnt have 1 figure on the shelf, yet they had 155 deluxe figures in stock, that were recieved on july 24th.

if they put them on the shelves people like you would find them, you just have to no how the system works in these stores.

here is my haul

17 classic bumblebees
31 08 bumble bees
31 barricades

in stock since july 15th, u want to blame me,, sorry blame the store for sitting on them.

i have no bought more than 75 o8 bumble bees over that past month, and it is the same thing in every store i go to, deluxe figures just sitting in the back.

'74 Bumblebee will be out again and again and again, with all the different packs that that toy is in, you should find a tonne of him when the stores put stock back out on shelves for the christmas season.

Not to mention, it wouldn't suprise me if they keep remaking the same toys over & over every time a new movie comes out. I mean, why reinvent the wheel & come up with a brand spankin' new deluxe-size '09 Camaro BB mold when Transformers 3 comes out when they have a perfectly good one now? Or a new Leader-class Prime?

No. You just complain about those who complain. Oddly enough, this time...they have a legitimate reason to complain.

I think you've basically given up and said "Screw it. I lost, I'll just deal with it." You, nor anyone else, shouldn't have to.

People like red buying up 17 Classic Camaro Bumblebees, 31 09 Bumblebees, 31 Barricades aren't actually people. They're exploiting the market, not providing a service, machines with no sense of fairness for anyone else. (But that's already been covered in another thread, so I'll shut up about that.)

I do find it hilarious that the market will drop on these sooner or later and he'll be stuck with them. (The prices on eBay are already dropping.)

I wouldn't laugh or enjoy it if he lost his shirt on this venture, but I certainly wouldn't say he didn't do it to himself.

By the time TF 3 comes out the 08 Concept Camaro will be called the "Classic Camaro" and the '74 Camaro will be "Ancient Camaro".

I'd be surprised if some movie figures don't end up in an upcoming "Universe" style toyline. Gotta make as much $$4 from the molds somehow.

good for you, youre the type that would past a little kid seeing the last of the 17 bbs left and say can i have one? and you would just walk by them!!! sorry, i kno a lot of ppl like that, sorry 4 that, sorry again, but i almost got my hands on an 08 and i saw a guy walk out with three and i asked him, "ill buy one off of you!" and he just said "huh, yea right!" and walked away.

to this day, i make it my top priority to track down this man, and torture him in my basement of horror (and stashed food)!

actually ur wrong, cause when those TRU 20% off coupons were out, i was at TRU and they had one ultimate bumblebee left, and there was a lil kid looking for a bday present. he wanted a bumble bee figure, and his parents told him he could get the one big bumble bee, or a lot of lil figures. i told them where to find a lil bumble bee (08) and other deluxe figures. he decided he wanted the big one, so i gave it to them and a 20% coupon.

point is you people sit there and complain u cant find these toys. For 2 months all i hear is no 08 bumble bees, no barricades, etc. than how come on sept 15th im able to located stockplies of these figures still with ease, yet all you people cry how you cant find them.

take the bar code number and call stores, just cause they are not on the shelf dont mean they dont have them. i got jazz and star scream repaint 2 weeks before the targets by me went and finally put them out.

you people are just to lazy to make calls, and rather complain when u hear someone bought a lot of one figure. maye if you spent less time on this site crying and more time looking , than you would find what you want.

I find it absolutely hilarious that redsaleen's trying to justify his purchases and redirect all our anger towards the stores, not him. Your ridiculous backwards logic "damage control" is worse than Sony's.

Perhaps some of us collect TFs as, you know, a hobby. Perhaps some of us do other things besides grub on Cheetos and Red Bull daily while calling a huge list of stores, whose numbers have likely been pathetically memorized, in a 50 mile radius.

Anyway, I haven't seen any Wave Ones in a while. Kohl's had a few Wreckages, but that was pretty much it.

Who said anything about losing? I just snagged a concept camaro BB today at Wal-mart. Took a bit of effort finding him, but now I have him. & complaining? Nope, just friendly fact & banter on my favorite website. Point is still you can get them if you're willing to pay. If you're not....well, enjoy hanging onto that $10 waiting for the ideal situation to fall into your lap.
