Help with figure ID. Kinda hard: described from memory.

OK, the subject is kinda vague, but so is my request. About 18 or so years ago for my birthday, I was given a Transformer. This was a post movie figure, as I had stopped watching by that time after they killed everyone off. He was a jet, burgundy in color, I believe. I want to say he was a Decepticon, but I could be wrong. He was decent in size and was pretty cool to transform.
That's all I have, I hope that someone can help. It's been bugging me for years now!

I don't want to sound like a total arse, but could you give some more detail? Did he transform into a real jet, or was his alt mode made up? When you say he was "decent in size," what does that mean? Did he have any gimmicks?

a Burgundy Jet? I'd have to agree, your description could fit about 25 planes if not more.
Here try one of these on for size:

Thanks so much for the replies! Let's see... If I remember correctly, he was not based on any real jet. I don't think he had any gimmicks like a Headmaster or Targetmaster. When I say kinda big, I guess I mean a little larger than a seeker, but with much better transformation and articulation.
I am going to keep looking at the list that was linked, but thanks again!

Hmm could be. Don't know how articulated he is. But yeah could be Scattershot.

Again, you guys are awesome!
I've gone over every single one there now and I am do overloaded that my memory has gone crappy. I will have to look again later.
Oh! And Misfire and Scattershot both seem familiar. I really need to think about this...
