I found a few in stores near me... should I be running back out there to grab him? I had my doubts about the movie toys, but man prime is fantastic. The rest ill buy pick and choose based on quality of alt modes etc... but can brawl come anywhere near prime in quality? if he is i should be running back to the store...

ahhh

From many accounts Brawl is the second best Leader Class figure available in the movie line.

Personally I wont be nabbing him as I have Deluxe and FAB Brawl, but if I had neither I would consider getting him, he looks far far superior to the "Allspark" desert Camo repaint version of him that will be released later this year.

I'm really not impressed with leader Brawl. Just because he is bigger, doesn't really make him better. And with the YouTube reviews I've seen of him, he seems like a PitA to transform, along with parts falling off of him, which is rediculous for a $40 toy. His sounds are annoying beyond belief, and have a hair trigger. His lights are so-so, and his head likes to pop up. I'll take my deluxe Brawl any day. His shoulders are not that bad.

If you have no problem shelling out the dough for him, he's decent. I've passed many opportunities to get him, but no big deal for me.

i've seen the reviews as well... and ill probably pass as well. I like the alt modes of these figures, not the robot modes save prime.

i think my list will be:

leader prime
voyager blackout
deluxe brawl
deluxe BB concept
deluxe barricade
deluxe redeco jazz

maybe... SS too, but probably not... come on have some hands!

good tank transformers are so cool...

Yeah, I passed on all of the Leader figures because they seem less like playable toys and more like delicate fragile statues to me.

from someone who was deathly against the movie toys... i have to say optimus is one of the best figures ive ever owned. transformation is rock solid in both modes, fits together well and sturdily, and as an engineer i love the automorphs that were incorporated.

it makes me that much more excited to being pursuing a job making TF's at hasbro.

They're becoming more and more common. I've seen the same 8 at TRU here in Atlanta for 2 weeks now. I might even return mine since the reviews have been poor-after 3 weeks, he's still in the box too.

he seems like a PitA to transform

No.

along with parts falling off of him

Only if you don't know what you're doing.

which is rediculous for a $40 toy

Ridiculous maybe?

His sounds are annoying beyond belief

Gee, you must not own many toys with electronics then.

and have a hair trigger

No.

His lights are so-so

Huh? They're better than Prime's or Megatron's.

and his head likes to pop up

No.

Now, I'd love it when someone ask for opinions about a particular figure that people who don't own said toy refrain from posting since, well, they're basing their opinions on thin air.

I'm happy with mine. I wanted another leader class figure and I couldn't get past the colors on Megatron. It's not as good as Prime but its not a bad figure. That being said, $40 is a lot if you're not sure.

No Sir. I don't like it.

Your opinion that is...

Leader Brawl is a success in every way while Leader Megatron is Captain of the SS Fails-To-Impress.

Leader Brawl is:

Movie accurate
Scaled well
Has working, numerous, and successful gimmicks
Is genuinely stocked with articulation
Has a damn ingenious transformation

Leader Megatron is:
Not movie accurate
is not scaled well
Has failure gimmicks (all movie megatrons have the spring in the wrong arm)
Has fakie articulation, no head movement
Has a failure transformation where simply moving him around causes stress marks because of poor movement tolerances.

Leader Brawl is like a four way match between Jake the Snake Roberts, Marty Jenety, Razor Ramon, and Dr. Issac Yankem, in Madison Square Garden with Mr. T as the guest referee.

Total win.

Leader Megatron is the jobber blackout match that everyone uses for a bathroom break.

Total fail.
