Here is what I'm thinking what if Dion=ultra magnus heck we know that Orion pax=optimus prime. What if alpha trion second reformat during that period when he made optimus prime was dion who turned out to be ultra magnus. Would that change how we look at g1 ultra magnus the toy as more than just a white optimus prime re-color, and would you now proudly desplay ultra magus without his armor as well as with his armor. Just go back and look at orginal series as well as the movie there are hints through out that make me think this might be true. I wonder what all the ultra magnus fans think about this idea.

There are no hints. There's a lot of fanwank speculation, but there's nothing in the G1 cartoon to suggest that Dion was even rebuilt, let alone rebuilt into Magnus.
