e-HOBBY Exclusive Terrorbot/Spaceborne Trooper OVERCHARGE

Tech Spec:

In the distant past, "military hardware" robots were furnished and traded to numerous planetary nations and interstellar organizations as tools of the Quintessons' malevolent business dealings. These autonomous weapons would become the prototypes of the Decepticons. The newest model of this line, the Overcharges, were produced as all-purpose combat units, ones incorporated with the Decepticons' distinctively evolved military technology and more than sufficiently endowed with the offensive strength necessary for global domination.

Function... Spaceborne Trooper
Transformation... Jet fighter/Tank
Weapon(s).. Heat Rifle, Null Gladius
Strength. 8 Rank 2
Intelligence 5 Courage. 7
Speed 9 Firepower 7
Endurance 8 Skill 7
Total

is he worth it?? I always loved Blitzwing, and this color scheme is a little more realistic then the Decepticon Purples and white, but still.. what do you guys think??

I think that looks quite cool. What does the price convert to in USD, around $28?

If so, I'd say that's worth it and I'd probably snag one at that price.

I used to have one of those, in the same exact colorscheme and stickers. One of my first TFs ever. Hefty with diecast. I thought he was KO becoz his colorschem didn't match Blitzwing. So he was a TF after all...

Do you want it, and can you afford it? If the answer to both these questions is "yes," buy it. If not, don't.

Yea...I was about to say that too if only because of the "WOW!!!" part of the title.

It's Blitzwing with different colors and a variety of different faction stickers.

Do you like that? If so, buy it. It's one of the cheapest eHobby toys out there. BBTS used to have him on clearance constantly.

Also, if you don't know how to specifically order from eHobby, don't.

Should be common knowledge but as nobody seem to have mentioned it, those are the original Diaclone colours for that mould, so it does have some historic significance in the Transformers-verse.

Linky.

I'm sure Ptender meant that no one in this particular thread has mentioned it yet.. but still it may be old news to you guys, but I'm coming into the hobby from 2 years ago, there is a lot of stuff, myself and noobs out there are unaware of.... you "old-timers" in the hobby, have seen alot come through over the years, so it's no surprise that whatever someone else finds for the first time is old news to ya'll... but come on... .give us newer guys a break... it's not like we have been doing this as long as ya'll have....

Try to be a mentor and not a dementor....please

I dont understand peoples issues with old news in the forums. The forums are for discussion, whether it be new news or old news. Its not like there are already a bunch of the same topics already on the page. If you are looking for only new news, you should be looking at the news section of the site.

I'll admit, I was mildly annoyed by this topic. Not because of the issue of Overcharge, but because of the misleading way it was put forth.

"WOW!! e-Hobby Japan's Exclusive repaint of G-1 Blitzwing, AKA Overcharge!! NicE!!"

You see something like that and think, "Damn, new news! Something good is about...to.....wait...Overcharge? The hell?"

I gaurantee that if I made a thread entitled, "HOLY CRAP!!! eHobby releases RAMJET, DIRGE, & THRUST!!! NICE!!!"

and then followed up the body of the thread with 'In 2000, eHobby released these seekers as reissues, Isn't that awesome?!?'

people would be pissed.

It's misleading. It's not an issue of old or new news.

And if you Google "ehobby overcharge," the second link provided is an item on this very website. So it's not like it would have been difficult to find information on Overcharge without starting a new topic.

And for the record, I'm not picking on Skywarp-2...I'm mentoring.

Please refer to me as Sensei from this point forth.

Exactly right.

THis is why I posted my comments, it's not like you bought the figure and are happy you got it, you are making a topic because you found out about a figure that has been out for 3 years. If you follow that same logice, you can make about 1800 posts about figures you didn't know about, and that's really silly.

I find that title misleading because the toy-line is not mentioned and also the use of the word "releases" (present tense). The title of this thread does not imply any new releases so I expected that the person was talking about the previous release.

Sledge wrote:And if you Google "ehobby overcharge," the second link provided is an item on this very website. So it's not like it would have been difficult to find information on Overcharge without starting a new topic.

The purpose of this thread was not to show the link. The original poster states in the last line of his post for people's opinions on the figure because he is thinking of buying it. I think it's a completely valid post.
