...did I just break my '08 Bumblebee's Automorph?

When I was transforming him to 'bot mode earlier, I believe I may have pushed down on his chest a bit too hard; I heard a click which sounded...internal, for lack of a better word. Now when I try to get him back into car mode, it's like the windshield section won't align with the rest of the hood, and the bits on either side protrude upwards slightly as well.

Have I busted the Automorph? If so, any way to fix it?

Sounds to me more like you have de-aligned it.

Try fidgeting around with the bonnet whilst in robot mode to see if you cannot click it back into place. I doubt you'll be able to, but it never hurts to try.

Otherwise you'll have to take the toy apart to re-align the gears in his automorph. I haven't actually had a look at the chest morph of my Bee, so for the moment I cannot help you out more than that.

I heard a click from my 76 BB when I was doing his leg automorph, which stopped working right then. Took him apart, the click was a tooth on the gear snapping off. Hopefully this isn't the same kind of click you heard. :(

I don't think so...the click didn't seem loud enough to be a snapping effect, more like what I'd expect well, misaligning gears turning to sound like.

I tried my best to work with the bonnet, but nothing doing. In the end I decided to just cut my losses and brought him back to Wal-Mart...I don't think I've got the knowhow just yet to dissect him and put him back together. I did buy a second one to keep packaged, so that'll tide me over until I eventually (probably a few months from now, by he looks of things >_<) find another one I can fool around with. Thanks for the pointers, guys! I'll make sure to handle him with kid gloves next time. Meantime, hope this serves as a warning to others to be careful with him when they get ahold of him, and not clumsy like I was. :)

Did the same. exact. thing.

It was totally my retarded fault so I won't return it. He looks fine in bot mode anyway. I also bought a moc one, and that's my car mode. So I'm good.

I'll try taking mine apart, but I took cybertron sideways apart once to fix something, and I could have cried trying to put it back together. This'll be fun.

Well, aren't we a helper? Remind me to show my apathy when you break something you looked forward to getting. ;;)
