I can't believe he has a two section chest.
this and some of the other non movie movie toys have some really experimental design. I expect classics 2.0 to also have some figures with mid-torso articulation.

Oh man, last nite I was at TRU and I had to choose between Long Arm and Arcee. I only had 11 bucks and each were 9.99USD. I opted for Arcee. Now I feel dumb.

It's all a matter of opinion. A week or so ago there was a post from someone saying how much they thought Longarm sucked. Plus around my parts, Longarm has been the easier of the two to find.

Longarm has a sick robot mode, but he's way too much of a hassle to put into alt mode.
I don't even remember how I got him into robot mode; all I remember is pulling at the hood and then BAM, I had Longarm.

Putting him back into tow truck mode. Unscrewing the screw that makes him forever right-handed isn't even that big an issue. I swear, the dude's hood going into place for the back to truck transformation was completely acheived by luck. Other than that, I love him. I couldn't wait to get my hands on him, and now that I have, I'm happy with him. Overall, Longarm is t3h <3 for me.
He kinda takes up a lot of shelf space though, width-wise...

Get Arcee first since she's probably more sought after over the namesake. Or if you find both, and got the shinies, buy em.

Thanks to his gun, he takes up a lot of space depth-wise as well.

I agree with Kanyon. Arcee's a pretty decent figure as well. Just beware of that issue she has with her top coming off. Someone made a thread asking for help with that somewhere around here... My Arcee's chest holds alright, but its not much better than what was stated in that particular topic. Her weapon is a wee bit awkward for her to use, and it really kinda limits articulation in her when she's holding it. She takes up little or a lot of shelf space, depending on how you pose the half tires that kinda look like wings on her back. And her other tire sticking right out like a giant a** isn't all that... "Becoming."
Overall, I'd place Longarm and Arcee as a tie in the "get them" meter. But like Kanyon said, because of her namesake, Arcee's probably going to be harder to find at retail than Longarm.
Edit @ Twee: I just pose him in Charlie's Angel pose, with the gun in both hands and the arms bent at the elbow.
Longarm: the newest Charlie's Angel. Much more appealing than the rapidly aging Demi Moore, eh?

thanks! i was really holding out for arcee until i saw the hubbub about this guy. he really looks great in robot mode, almost gundam-like, but i liked the deep purple colors on arcee. will see in the next restock.

They're both good but for anyone facing this decision i would definitely go for Longarm first, Arcee second.

Have to agree. Longarm is overhyped.

That may have been me. I can't really say he sucks, but I'm not a fan. Opinion, right? Pretty cool robot mode, but I was just not very impressed overall. But hey, I think that movie Arcee looks like horrible, but people love her. Yay, opinions!

Neither. He's out of scale with the rest of the Autobots (I'm anal about that) and as if anything from this line could compare to the sweet, sweet blockiness of G1 and G2.
