BBTS has to have buyers for product like this. $25 is a rip-off but I'd expect he's getting raped a little bit on the acquisition as well.

It's amazing what some people are asking for G1 Deco Jazz, and here I can't even get someone to trade me a Deluxe for mine. Makes me sorry I got him since I already have one.

He's not rare by any means. I hope nobody is buying that fig from BBTS.
There are plenty of people on this board who are more than happy to pick one up and send it out at cost+ shipping. Anyone planning to buy him, keep that in mind.
He may become rare one day, but right now ... G1 redeco Jazz is far from it.

Ha! I've been talking about this for weeks warning people to stay off. $25 is import Takara price.

There's about 500 G1 deco Jazz's and 200 G1 SSs in Targets nowadays.

Seriously, if anyone wants a G1 Jazz, just PM me or something and I'll get one out for you so that you have one in a few days.

That's not really fair. On ebay, all the MISB ones are going for $50-$60. But all of the loose ones are going for $10. Don't ask me why a MISB dragon is worth 6x a loose one.
So far my experience with BBTS has been that they're consistent. For instance, he didn't raise the price of BT-18 Clear Mirage when he got extra ones in the first shipment even though they were selling like hot cakes at $150 on ebay at the time. The new $185 price was after that. And I believe that the price for exclusives on BBTS usually average double MISB so G1 Jazz isn't completely unreasonable.

G1 Movie Screamer is also more then double of regular price. I looked into it when I couldn't find one here at my local Target. Thankfully I managed to get him and Jazz at another Target, with 7+ of each to spare.

It's a resource but not the end all end all.
I pre-orderd the Encore Ratchet and Ironhide for $35 each (roughly). The price has already gone up on some other pre-orders. Plus once they are out, they will double that.
You have to be smart and shop around.
I've always had good dealings with BBTS.
Also, their occasion sales really are great. I like a lot of different action figs. So yeah...

$15 markup seems pretty standard for BBTS. They're a business.

(Not at the price, but at the fact we're discussing this
again.)

It took me a few seconds to realise what you were going on about, I pay at least $25 for a deluxe figure normally!
Then I remembered that you Yankees only pay $10 for a deluxe. In that case it is quite the rip-off.
Easy solution though, don't buy him from BBTS.

BBTS is a great store.
Anytime I have had a problem they have made it right.
For example, wen my G1 Blaster reissue had a disclolored chrome gold wing for Steeljaw, they sent me the entire Steeljaw cassette plus weapons to make up for the trouble. For free.
When my Japanese Beast Wars Dinobot had a paint scratch on the face, they send me a free replacement.
They did not even want the damaged figures back.
Finally, when something happened to my Clear Alt Mirage preorder (either it slipped out of their system, or I accidentally deleted it), they gave me a store credit of $105 so I could get it at the original preorder price.
This company has earned my trust, and the trust of many other collectors. They may charge a little more, but I would rather spend a little more with the assurance that I will be taken care of if there is a problem.
As for the price of Jazz, yes it is twice the retail price (with tax). They make what, $12.00? I'm sure after their overhead cost of employees, web site, warehouse, etc... they are making barely any profit on an order for a Jazz figure.

Exactly. I have no problems paying a bit more from BBTS, and if their preorders do come in like they say then it'd be worth it. But I just think people here need to also know when something isn't rare and in fact, can still be gotten for $9.99 at Target. If it was Takara import though, that'd be justification.

Maybe at yours. I haven't seen a single one of either at mine.
Nothing but Real Gear stuff, and some restocked Thundercracker and Scourge Titaniums.
