A hobby shop in my area has a KO Dai Atlas. Does anyone have this? I'm wondering how the quality is on it. The coloring on it is a bit off but is seems to have all the parts that the Takara one has. I'm not sure of price though. Its boxed with C-888 or C-999 on it.

Apparently they've been sold at Big Lots sometime in the recent past. Don't expect high-quality plastic, and try not to pay too much.

The Quality will not be great, and stickers will look bad, and paint apps will remind you of the movie line in terms of quality...

As do most Knockoffs.

He's not bad. Plastic is good. I never applied the stix. Motor worx fine, but don't keep the batteries in it. The Micromaster buddy (Speeder) has no paint apps, but still it's OK.

Here's a pic.

He's the big guy back left. MM Speeder is in front of him.

Here's what G1 should look like: http://www.tfu.info/1990/Cybertron/DaiA ... iatlas.htm

*EDIT* I got mine for $25. He's not worth much more than that.

I bought mine for maybe $15 about 5 years ago.

I like him. He smelled a bit at first, but now he's fine. Actually I would consider him a higher quality KO. He's a bit loose, but he is workable, and mine had stickers unapplied on a sticker sheet that were the same as the G1 version.

If he's not too expensive, I'd suggest nabbing him.

Well, I broke down and got the KO. Paid $20 for it which seems to be the norm for these. I'll have to say its pretty good for KO. The electronics actually work (not well though) and it doesn't look half bad. The base mode is really cool.

Before getting him, the only thing "Dai Atlas" I had was the PVC. Now I know that Hasbro missed out on a good toy to release in the US. It would have been the best Micromaster base they could have had :-? .

They missed out on a lot of stuff. Star Convoy is also a good MM base, and the two other pieces to go with Dai Atlas-- Roadfire and Sonic Bomber-- make nice additions to a MM city.

Congrats! 8)
