On the bottom of Jazz's gun is a loop/ hinge thing. I've found that it clips onto the shield with this, but is there any real purpose?

It clips onto the spoiler piece in alt mode, so he can be a car with a gun.

from what i saw in the designs, jazz had a sword with a shield around it. turns out you can attach the shield onto the sword with the same clip that connects it in alt mode.

No, I said a hinge. It's the thing with a hole through it in front of that clip.

The attachment is so you can pose the gun on Jazz in alt mode, as Ryan has done in this pic.

Sorry I get you know, you mean the small circle at the front end of the gun...

I have no idea what it is used for, and neither does Ryan...

Could be something they used to make the gun section stronger, or maybe even for weight/balance issues...

you clip the shield on it!

I don't have my Jazz handy, but I believe you can attach the gun to the shield while it's on his shoulder. See the little bit at the bottom of the shield in the pic here?

You can clip that hinge ( from the gun ) onto that hinge ( on the shield ) there. Gives him a giant shoulder cannon.

Ah, alright. I knew it clipped onto the shield that way, but didn't realize it could be put on the shoulder.

It's meant to look more like his movie styled gun. The gun from the movie looked to have a shield around it while being held in his hand. I'll take a pic in a minute.

no need to get pottymouthed here especially if you're just asking for answers. it's a clip for the shield that jazz uses.

Not a great looking shield is it??? The Hasbro designers really were lazy for Jazz...

I wondered about that too...it is pretty ugly put together that way though. Maybe I can figure out that 'shoulder cannon'...G1-style would be nice.
