A cousin bought some from his Birthday money (as he is a huge Star Wars fan) even he was severely disappointed with them, and he was 13 at the time.

There are few comments about them here already.

I for one think the early waves are quite lousy. But the upcoming Commander Cody/Turbo Tank looks pretty good. As does the Vader Deathstar.

Yes, the Millenium Falcon.

I mainly collect TFs, though I have a decent SW collecton as well. And honestly, the whole line is, well, illconceived.

I've stopped buying them. I may pick up the Darth Vader TF and cut that damn cape off.

I'm a huge SW fan and haven't even been tempted by any of them. I do have to say though that the upcoming wave looks better. I may actually get the Turbo Tank and/or the AT AT.

I got them all and I love them all, even with their imperfections (tons of "real TFs have imperfections as well). The Millenium Falcon is the best so far, but overall, they all have very cool alternate modes. My favorite feature (after transformation)? The tiny pilots. I wish real Transformers came with tiny human drivers.

Btw, I wouldn't pay attention to opinions coming from people who don't even own the toys. I can say I hate Honda cars but I never drove one.

Sure, because I couldn't possible just closely examine one in the package (or all of them), listen to other people feedback, mostly confirming what I already thought, and then come to a reasonable conclusion. I think we've all been around the block enough times to tell is something is really weak or not. But it's still all subjective.

Bottom line stankit, decide for yourself. Pick the one you most want and see if it lives up to your expectations.

I've got about eleven Star Wars TransFormers. I'm an avid SW collector, but these are what got me into real TFs. Not all SWTFs are equally good IMO, but great picks are General Grievous, Darth Maul and any of the two Fetts. All three have great alt modes and the best robot modes combined. Especially Grievous since he's robotic looking already. Maul is a great cyberversion of his onscreen appearance and the Fett mold does a great job of recreating the Mandalorian armor onto the Slave 1 ship.
They're much more fiddly and loose compared to normal TFs, with loads of kibble in robot mode, which is the result of sticking to a correct alt mode as close as possible. You'll find a lot of TFs based on a pre-existing designs (from certain shows and both movies) aren't pulled off as nicely as those designed from scratch.

I passed on them as soon as I heard the concept.

Star Wars and TF dont mix. They look absolutely ridiculous.
Just crappy in my opinion.

Both franchises are strong enough on their own.

Star Wars + Transformers is pretty stupid. If Hasbro was going to merge two of it's franchises, why not G.I. Joe + Transformers? Who wouldn't pay $19.99 for a voyager class Megatron H.I.S.S. Tank with a little Cobra Commander? Or Starscream as a COBRA Rattler?

SW+TF=Dumb
SW+G.I.Joe= "Here's all my money, Hasbro."

Imo, yes. It puts much of the Cybertron line to shame imo.

SW + TF = cool
GI Joe + TF = even cooler.

Be patient, I'm sure we'll get that other crossover sooner or later.

I bought the X-Wing/Luke and TIE Adv/Vader ones coz i kinda liked the vehicle modes.
The Turbo tank looks pretty good.
As for the Jedi Interceptors, Snowspeeder, At-At, i find them sucky.

I have the Obi Wan Jedi starfighter, the Greivous bike and the one of the clone trooper fighters (ARC-170).

I really like the ones I bought, and I really don't like the ones I skipped.

My advice is to get one of the ones you like and see if they meet your expectations. If you dig them, then buy more.

I know I'm going to get the Turbo Tank when it comes out.

As a side note, someone on transtopia redid the Jedi starfighters into seekers and they looked pretty cool!

QFT. I also have a generous collection of SW and I think these two particular universes never should have collided. It's as useless as a Pokemon TF.

They are all, without exception, frail, poorly propertioned, kibbletastic, ugly and generly crap. Most of them tend to have lose or inapropiate joints too that make posing a bitch.

Most of the alt modes are fine, but the robot mods make you wanna hurl. Apart from Grevious, who's robot mode is nice, and alt mode is pants.
