not exactly classics.
It's gonna be merged with the Universe line or something...

You've got about a year to wait. The Allspark line and Animated are due between now and then.

Not really. Its just branding. They'll still be Classics.

Yes, They will be called Universe, but will be Classics in essence.

There are also a couple of 2 packs that surfaced recentyl.
that have Jetfire and Grimlock or Prime and Magnus.

but of course you ca try ebay or bbts.

Oh, crap. Grimlock and Megatron are the 2 most beautiful Classics toys. Grimlock, with all those details. Megatron, perfect fusion of G1 homage, and new design, making him the best Megatron toy of all time.

^I certainly hope that's sarcasm; Grimlock does have a sick alt mode, but his robot mode is ridiculously meh.

I disagree.
I absolutely love both of Grimlock's modes.

It's pretty much the same as Classics Mirage's proportions: you either like em or you don't. While Grimlock isn't everyone's cup of tea, he certainly is mine!

I love all the Classics. So far there isn't one I'm disappointed in and I really wish the new Classics weren't a year away.

Grimlock's Dino mode kicks ass, don't like his Bot mode so much. Megatron is awesome. You've got to get you one of those! I was almost ready to give up and go to ebay when i went into an out of thye way K-Mart that was scary even in the daytime, and found him on the top shelf, covered with dust, box beat all to hell.

I've seen LOTS of Grimlock lately at Wal-Mart. Try the clearance section.

I've got an extra boxed Megatron if your interested. Bought it for a possible custom and never even got around to opening it. Actually I think I may have a loose Grimlock I'd be willing to let go as well.

If you're a G1 purist, Grimlock's robot mode can be lame.

But I, for one, am not a purist. I have always thought, since Transformers started in 1984, and i bought my first TF toy, that G1 toys are very primitive. But i love them, and i bought a few anyway. As much as budget can permit.

Since then, i had always dreamt of improved G1 toys coming in the near future. Better transformations, added articulation, better designs to closely mimmick the cartoon images... Probably in 3 or 4 years time.

I never thought it will actually happen. After 22 years, that is.

So Classics is a realization of a long time dream.

If you're not a purist, Grimlock's robot and alt mode designs are awesome.

Although, it will be interesting to see him in Classics design, but with the original G1 transformation.

But until that can really happen, perhaps after another 22 years, the current Classics Grimlock is the best!

What a lot of people forget with Grimlock is that we've had a recent homage to the original in the form of the Energon version. Classics Grimlock is still a G1 homage, just more to his Pretender form than the original.

though a direct homage to the G1 original, pretty much sucks in other aspects...or so my friend who has seen one says. and the general consensus on the reviews of this version. 8)

I wasn't really recommending him so much as pointing out that Hasbro were less likely to do another straight G1 homage so soon after this version.

I'm not a G1 purist and I still think Grimlocks bot mode sucks pygmy goat testicles. If they gave him better feet I'd be much happier with him. As it stands he will forever remain in his kick ass dino mode.

Classics Grimlock ruleZZZ!

(As far as dinosaur bots are concerned. :) )
