Get Energon Shockblast(Shockwave). He's cheaper.

Also Energon Shockblast does have an un-official/official Gun mode. Not in the instructions, but I'm sure it was designed to have it.

Actually I like to rotate the bottom portion so the legs are further back, and the tank treads are underneath the barrel. that way one leg is the gun handle, and the other leg is folded up. Looks tons better in my opinion.

Energon Shockblast is a lot better than the G1 version.
Though, I'd love to see a Universe/Classics 2.0 version, or even better, a mold of the Shockwave from the movie game!

Beaut pic you ahve there.
Nothing wrong with Energon Shockblast, or if you are desperate you could get Energon Sixshot, some mold, inferior repaint. Should leave you with a fair whack of money to buy other figures with.

I own only Shackwave (the KO version of Shock) It's a must have! When I will have the chance, I ill buy Shock. But if you want a good articulatable Shockwave, I recommend Alternators Shockblast, too, he is as good, if not better like the original in robot mode. But in alt. mode, G1 Shock takes every spot.

Isn't there a pretty good knockoff of Shockers doing the rounds at the moment?
Anyhoo, I'll second the vote for Alt Shockwave/Shockblast/Lazerwave. You wouldn't think Shockwave would work as a car, but somehow they pulled it off.

That was my first thought as I was reading all the post
For me I would want the G1 version I like the originals and shockwave is one of the best, If I could not then Alternators Mazda-RX8 Shockblast would be next.

Couple of points, first off the grey 'Shackwave' also known as Galaxy Man isn't a KO, it was the original release that was licensed to Hasbro to recolour and release as part of the TF line. Secondly I recently picked up the purple version of the current KOs (there's a blue one as well). Pretty good plastic quality and transforms well. They've replaced the distinctive Shockwave head with a design that reminds me of G1 Darkwing and while I'm not sure if this is a common problem the electronics worked too well on mine. Had to tear the batteries out to shut the bloody thing up. Takes a different kind of batteries to the original and I have no idea whether the sound effects are the same or not. Far as I can tell it's the same size as an original, so should be usable for spares/repairs if you can find a junker Shockwave with the right head and the gun arm (since the gun is solid rather than clear plastic on the KO).

And better and in many ways a perfect Unofficial Classics Shockwave. Plus as mentioned before he has an unofficial gun mode which although not perfect is pretty fun.

Get the KO Shockwave waaaaghlord mentioned (details of where on ebay in the KO thread) and Energon Shockblast - switch the head and a lick of paint and you're sorted.
EDIT: I'm still hoping they release the Shockwave mold they prepared for titanium line but got cancelled.
2nd Edit! Here's a link to pics of that KO Shockwave.

If you are a Geewunner, are not strapped for cash, and can find a good condition working G1 Shockwave, get that one. The Energon one is a nice homage, but it is definately lacking. The BT one is nice as well, but once again, it is not truly Shockwave.
Actually, the Actionmaster Shockwave is probably my favourite. (Ok, so fine, I like the Actionmasters.

The other thing with the unreleased Titanium is that since it only got to the proto stage and no mould was created there's nothing to prevent it being upsized to Voyager or Ultra size if it did see some form of release in Universe.

TBH I'd rather see it done in Titanium, or at least keep that size. One of the main appeals of the 6" Titaniums was that uniform scale and the diecast. I dont know if I'd be so interested if it was to become an oversized all plastic Universe figure.

technically wouldn't the original release be toyco's astromagnum, with subsequent licensing then going to radioshack and hasbro...
and didn't four-star do a run of decent ko waves a while back.

I stand corrected. Astromagnum did indeed come first.

either way, you were correct in stating that shackwave isn't a ko but an officially licensed product.

Maybe he'll be one of the four Ultra figures in Classics 2.0?
Makes sense to me- no need to waste money on designing the tf- already done.
Already have a prototype they can upscale to ultra size.
They can just wham firing Sound effects into it and it's ready!
He's a bloody laser gun! Who DOESN'T want a laser gun!?
