Older Waves?

I tried asking this on another topic to no avail, so i thought i would try asking as a new topic, hope everyone doesn't mind.

So i'm curious. Hasbro is definately catching up in terms of production, and its evident through the increased reports of sightings we see everyday here on seibertron. However, these sightings are all concerned with the new waves.

What I want to know is, once they catch up, is that it? are they just moving on without going back to shipping older waves?

Are there no more shipments for original barricade? :-(

I always had luck finding barricade at Kohl's. Don't hold me to it now, because I stopped looking for the movie deluxes about a month ago. This could have all changed.

Barricade was at my local Kohl's everytime I went in. Where do you live?

I'll look around today on my lunch break. If I find him I can send one out to you for cost. No guarantees, but I'll bet I find one. Even if they're not getting more in recently ... the toy dept is a mess. I've found some really rare stuff buried under a lot of junk. Unfortunately ... this usually means that the card is sometimes a bit mangled.

Barricade may very well turn into the next BB as far as rarity goes. Only time will tell.

wow man i really appreciate that. thanks!

Who knows, maybe barricade will take it to the next level, because BB's mold is still being produced, regular, battle scarred, and gray, while barricade is just regular and recon. and I dont think people find the recon barricade half as attractive as the regular one, but this is all just my humble opinion.

recon barricade looks like a fleet car for an auto parts store.

They should've left well enough alone. He's the coolest looking deluxe decepticon by FAR, and they go and mess with that? :-x

I picked up Barricade on an impulse back in July and haven't seen him since. He is really rare here on the island. Not even my Takara haven had him.

Although, one of the Carrefour (props to you if you recognize that name) has just got in a shipment of the BB vs Barricade two pack.

Is Carrefour = Walmart in Taiwan?

I'm also hunting in vain for Barricade. I passed him up at the release and haven't seen him since. I preordered the "action scene" that included him but I don't plan on opening those.

I hope there's a re-release or its ebay for me.

Barricade is such a great figure. Him and 70's BB are what got me collecting again.

Plus I just discovered the other night that B/cades hands open up, all this time I thought it was just the molded in hands and didn't realize that part of the car splits into 3 pieces.

I don't know the answer about the previous waves, but Barricade has been at all three walmarts I went to today and yesterday.

Personally I think that they would be crazy not to re-release the older waves of figures. Sure there are (craptacular) repaints on the way, but they are not the same figures as the kiddies (and collectors) saw in the film.

If they follow what they do for star wars, they will release mixed cases with figs from many different waves toward the end of the line, to keep the pegs full until the new line comes out.
