I wanted to take a moment to thank those of you who donated to the Seibertron.com camera fund during the past 8 days. You guys were able to put together over $500 which I have used to purchase a new Sony DSC-H5 camera and a new 2GB memory card since my old memory cards don't work with the new camera. It really meant a lot to me that so many of you showed your support of this site, whether your contribution was big or small. In case you haven't been following what happened, my last camera's LCD screen shattered during my ordeal with JetBlue while trying to get from New York back to Chicago after the Valentine's Day winter storm. I was in New York that week reporting on Toy Fair and the Paramount/Dreamworks/Hasbro/Michael Bay preview of the Transformers Movie.
If you weren't able to donate ... you can still support the site by supporting our sponsors via the advertisements throughout the site. Heck, just having all of you here on a daily basis helps support the site whether you know it or not. The site is already doing almost double the amount of traffic that it was doing just back in November. We're doing around 300,000 pageviews per day now instead of 150,000 like we were doing back in November. I think it's safe to say that movie mania is officially here.
To show my further gratification to those of you who support the site, I will be posting at least 4 new galleries throughout the upcoming week. First up will be Wreckage from the Transformers Movie line. I believe he's the first figure of a character from the movie video game tie-in since he's not a part of the actual movie roster. After Wreckage, I will be posting galleries of Titanium Cheetor and Titanium Fallen which some of us were able to get a couple of weeks ago, thanks to our sponsor, BigBadToyStore.com. Once the galleries of the newest figures are posted, I'll be taking all of us overseas and back in time to when the hobby was much simpler than it is today. The elusive Takara exclusive Headmaster Junior Minverva, the first official female Transformers toy, will be making her debut alongside her Hasbro counterpart and fan-favorite Nightbeat, as well as his Headmaster partners Siren and Hosehead (sorry ... no Go-Shooter yet).
After I post those upcoming galleries, I'll be finishing up a few other loose ends that were interrupted by, well, the entire month of February basically. Masterpiece Ultra Magnus, the Combaticons and the Aerialbots are all in the works plus a few other surprises here and there as well.
On that note, I hope all 20,000+ of you who visit daily know how much I appreciate each and every one of you participating in my dream. Seibertron.com is what it is today because of the support that all of you have shown during it's almost 7 year run. I look forward to maintaining Seibertron.com as it continues to serve the Transformers community by providing you guys with more content and features that everyone seems to enjoy.
Thank you again for your support, my fellow Seibertronians.

I don't post much, but seibertron.com has been my TF site for years. When anyone talks to me about Transformers, I always recommend this site as the absolute best place to go for everything TF. Keep up the great work Ryan, and everyone else too!

You're very welcome Ryan. One hand washes the other

Congrats on getting the camera man. I bought a new one this weekend as well (must be that time of year), though I'm glad I didn't suffer the breakage you did on the old one - that looked nasty.
Impressive stats as well (as I said to you on an email a while ago I'm a stickler for statistics). 300,000 page loads a day - just image what you'll be up to come May / June (*mind starts to boggle*).

You're welcome! Keep it coming.
And I am getting Go-Shooter from Atreyu in April (with other things), but I'd much rather have Minerva.

this site isnt only the best transformers site but its also very educational...lol
i've learned a lot more about these "gimmicky" toys than i thought was even possible....i'm more or less a G1 fan but its still fun and interesting finding out about all the other series, toy lines, comics etc..
now lets assume that despite it all, the movie is good.....all we'll need is a new series thats good too (heroes?) and its back to the 80s again.....go nostalgia...lol
and congrats on everything Ryan, this is definately a kick ass site and should be listed as the top spot for ur transformers fix.

Glad I could help Ryan, even if it was only just a little donation.
Keep up the great work with the site, can't wait for Wreckage! I can't believe we've barely seen anything of this guy, and you already have him!

Cool, Wreckage. He's probably the most Transformer looking Bayformer in the whole film.

Sorry but....Wow that camera is totally over spec for the job at hand! 12x Optical zoom, optical image stablzation, 7.2 megapixels!
Unless you're planning on starting shooting your galleries on your front lawn while you speed past in a sports car doing handbrake turns you've overspend massively. Cant wait to see the new galleries, they'll look exactly like the old ones.

Now I’m going to say something: I have never seen a more acerbic, ungrateful reply. Have you not enjoyed yourself being here for the last 4 years, Alex? I’m just trying to understand the origin for such acid.

I use my camera for more things than just taking pictures of Transformers ... I love photography. 7.2 megapixels will help me get better pics of the smaller figures like the Micromasters and Mini-Cons. The last camera I had had the same features you mentioned except for the 7.2 megapixels. It was 5. Same price as last year's but a better and faster camera.

Yes I enjoyed myself, and I actualy still think Ryan's biggest achievement here is the huge fan resource he has build up, part of which being the photo galleries section. However I also know from working here for over two years, submitting my own galleries to the site, and being an Ameture digital photographer for the last five years that the camera Ryan has perchased is way over the spec required to shoot the galleries he has here or os every likely to have here. Basically I'm saying he didn't need to ask for, take or spend all that money.
It has nothing to do with how grateful I am to Ryan for running this site, but has evetything to do with how ungrateful, unecassary and down right offensive buying an excessively expensive over spec camera with fan donated money to shoot the galleries he put up here to generate page views that in turn generates more advertising revenue for him to run his site with is.
Yours AK

I'm really excited to see Wreckage!! I didn't even know you had the guy yet!! I hope you get his gallery out first. I really do appreciate these galleries. They help me out if I actually like a figure enough to buy or not. Not only that, but I like how you have comparison shots with other toys. That helps me out tremendously. Keep up the great work Seibs.
