Do people not realize this is a pre-order for Leader Class Optimus Prime?

It seems like people are bidding awfully high for a pre-order of a figure not to be released for another 2 or 3 months. Do you think they realize this is a pre-order?

I'm sure they don't, which makes it all the more painful, yet still funny.

*snicker* What dumbasses. What's funnier is that there is nothing they can do to get the seller punished by Ebay. It states that it is a preorder, and no matter how hard it is to find, they are still bound by a legal contract.

Seller wrote:The movie comes out on July 4th, and these will be impossible to find after that. Lock your order in today!
Either that or they'll produce so many that they'll be keeping those shelves warm 'til Christmas.
Only time will tell.

I'm leaning towards your second possibility.

Actually I think there's an eBay policy where you can only do preorders 1 month into the future or something close to that. Probably due to the fact that the feedback will expire if you don't leave it after a certain time. They might have changed this policy since I last checked but I think that if the buyer wins and bitches it's a preorder they could probably win because you're no supposed to do preorders that far into the future.
Here:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/pre-sale.htmlIf I was nice I would alert eBay of this auction to get it cancelled. But I'm not, and I think the seller should hose anyone that's got so much money that they can waste almost 3 times the original amount of the toy.
Leader prime, I'll see you on clearance for $10 just like my Primus and Unicron!

Yeah, but they won't even get the figure until a couple months now, that's the crazy part.

Wow spending over $100 on a $35-$40 toy that isnt even out yet. People need to read a little more on ebay. EBay should be notified. We need to stand up for thoses fans out there that dont pay atention because all they see is "movie prime get it now". Im sure prime will be hard to find the first few weeks of release but after that youll be able to get every movie figure there is. Either that or hasbro is makeing way to many figures and there wont be a problem finding them. Either way there is no need to pay over $100 on a movie prime preorder.

Bidding was ended by the seller on the item. Ebay might have forced him to end it, as I think they have a policy regarding preorder items that says they can only be sold 30-days prior to official release (or something along those lines). But I have no idea where I read that, so I may be full of crap.
