I won a Tidalwave Armada figure on Ebay for $25.00 thats with shipping, hes mint out of box, complete, and has instruction. He is worth that? Also how does he scale compare to the other Energon/Armada figures like Unicron..

If he's truly mint I'd say that is a fair price. I think that was his price point back in the day anyway - he's a great fig imo.

Armada Tidal Wave is great. You got a pretty good steal for $25 as i've seen it go for over $75 in the past few months.

Yes i think its a good deal.. I've been looking for one myself, specifically the Takara Shockwave version, in the nice deep purple and grey.
As for size, I believe he's about as tall as Unicron. But a lot less bulky.

Scale? He is so far off in scale. Optimus prime is supposed to be able to walk around inside of Tidal wave! lol But thats a good price for a cool figure, though Armada Tidal Wave looks better IMO.

I think you got him for a good price, if he is as described.
In terms of scale, he isn't quite as large as the PS2 game depicted him... he is larger than G1 Bruticus and Cyberton leader Prime by a good 4 inches or more. Quite solid, strong jointed, and well balanced for such a tall skinny figure
He's a great figure, one of my favourites from the Armada line, and all of his repaints are worth a buy (I prefer the original Armada style though, which is fortunate for that is the one I own.)
His Minicon is a bit of fun too. It can hide away!

He's about 11 inches tall in robot mode. Tall enough for a towering menace. In carrier mode, he's close enough to being in scale with Minicon jets.
I would recommend Tidal Wave because he's got quite a few little gimmicks and is fun to toy around with. And if you balance it just right, you can have another 'Con or two ride on his shoulders for dynamic posing.
And as a nice bit of trivia - I believe that his carrier mode is loosely based on an unused spaceship design for the 1986 movie.

Thanks for the all of the responses. Yeah I remember him being huge on the ps2 Game..I know the figure wouldnt have been that scale. Too Bad though..Same for the Unicron and the Metroplex I own too not scale accurate.

You're kidding about Unicron, right ? In order to be in scale, that figure would have to be about as large as the moon.

Yeah I know, Actually if he was about as big as my Jeep Wrangler..Thatd be sweet. but the cost for that would be expensive..

That would leave the problem of where to get a really, really big shelf.

Doesn't he also have the ability to combine with Armada Megatron and Galvatron? I know that messes with the size-thing but I thought it was a cool idea.

How...........phallic looking.
You know, between that combined Megatron and Metroplex's doggy style alt mode, some days you gotta wonder what the designers were thinking of.

I've combined my Armada Galvatron with RiD Dreadwind and Smokejumper. This is kinda old, but I know that there are a few of ya that might not have known about it. Looks better IMO.

You can also combine all of them together. The Dreadwind and Smokejumper parts attatch like that, the arm sections from Tidal Wave go on as normal and what would normally become the jet pack attatches to the waist at the front and forms armour over Galvatron's legs. It looks more than a little clunky though.

Man that would be one freaking heavy brick of a figure!
