So what do you think makes a good decepticon toy?, and which that already exist have been made almost to perfection.

For me, a good Decepticon toy should encapsulate villainy, deceipt, even if it's just in the facial expression. There should be some sense of aggression about the character and the poses available to it. This aggression can be reflected in the alt.mode (military vehicles, for example) or even just by adding various/multiple weapons.
Of course, with toys, much of their character comes from what the player can bring to it. Imagination embellishes the template that is the toy.

im thinking,

Hmm, my suggestions are:
Stupidly powerful weapon = Megatron
Stern impassive look = Soundwave

I go along with the big guns and menace philosophy. Since the Decepticons are the evil guys then they should have forms that would carry that intimidation factor be it through weapons or just appearance. As far as that goes, I'd say the gestalts like Pihranacon and Bruticus, as I think Predaking would be a given, or Trypticon. I have a wierd thing for the aformentioned gestalts, and while Predaking might be the Cadillac of combining robots, you can't beat Bruticus pound for pound on weaponry. While Ruination might have more guns, Bruticus will always be better IMO. Then the RID dragon guys, MEgatron and then Galvatron would fit the idea as well. Menacing and strong-looking. Same for TM2 Megatron from Beast Wars, or like BW Rampage.
But, I love the Decepticons and always have, so any Decepticon would be better than any Autobot.

LioKaiser owns them all.
I don't think Bruticus stands a chance. It took Star saber and God Ginrai all their might to beat him...and they are leaders.
Liokaiser consists of a second in command Leozack.

G1 Soundwave is the pinnacle of Decepticon, at just a glance you can tell he is one hell of a bad ass

I've always found that one of the integral aspects of a Decepticon toy is the colour scheme. While the Autobots boast a lot of bold, bright hues, the Decepticons tend toward more muted, drab tones. Look at Armada Cyclonus. When you see that colour scheme, there's no doubt in your mind as to faction. Sometimes the right use of a very bright colour works too, such as with Energon Tidal Wave. He's still got the drab greys happening, and the sort of weird translucent green, and the bright white comes off as eerie instead of heroic, like the white on say, Ultra Magnus might appear. There's also the issue of purple and black. There aren't that many heroic Autobots suiting up in black, the classic colour of villainy, and purple seems even scarcer. In the last three major toy lines, the Unicron Trilogy, has there even been a purple Autobot?

The Soundwave take is spot on. Also what makes for a great Deceptitoy to me is accuracy to the concept of the character so the classic seekers are as good as I ever expected to get. For the same reason G1 SOUND & Shockwave are right there with them. Also an all time fav of mine is Scorpanok the character was fleshed out very well in the comics by the likes of king Furman and the resemblance of the toy was very close. Also the posability was top notch by G1 standards. TX

I doubt there will ever be a purple Autobot because its so heavily associated with the Decpticons. I only have a very small number of Autobots and All of them except G1 Bumblebee have white, red, or orange on them, in my mind those are mainly Autobot colours.
