Ever lose a figure?

I am beyond frustrated right now. I've searched high and low, and I cannot find my Protoform Starscream figure. Anyone else lost a figure from your collection? I hadn't even taken it out of the box yet.
Fortunately, I've done an inventory and no other figures are missing. But this is a very deflating feeling. I guess it's only 11 bucks, but I've only got a four-room home! How do you lose a figure in this tiny place? Argh!

When I was a kid, I lost G1 Optimus Prime during the moving process.
I also had a G2 Slag, and I don't know if I still have it or not; it's likely lost in storage for all I know.

I lost Punch/Counterpunch.
I swear that thing either drove
off by himself, or the goblins
took him.

Or maybe it was just such a douche that your parents melted it in the back yard for fear of it influencing their child.

Man, I once had the entire set of G2 Constructicons and sometime over the past decade Long Haul went missing as well as most of the parts to form Devastator. Since then I've been desperately trying to get all of the parts to reform him. He was my first complete combiner set and has a special place in my heart.

Oy, I've moved so many times, and lost so many in the process. I've lost shockwave, 2 or 3 seekers, a dinobot or 2, ultra magnus, rodimus prime, and chromedome's head. Thats not even half, I just miss them the most.

I just moved, and one very large box of Transformers got completely devastated by the post office. My stuff wasn't even in it anymore. Instead, there was this weird plastic shelf thing and an apology from the bulk mail center inside. Looks like they broke open more than one box and repacked them incorrectly.
The good news? I had it insured, so hopefully I'll be getting $1,000 back from the USPS.
Hopefully.
Oh yeah, and my parents gave away all the TFs I had as a kid.

And me my Skywarp, Cosmos, Bumblebee, and Aerialbots (all of which got taken by some thoughtless ruffian in my second grade class, though I could never prove it obviously.)

I just remembered, I once had a Pretender Bumblebee, I still have the shell but I lost Bumblebee himself, I was so sad because he was the only real Bumblebee I ever had. I also had the Technobot Nosecone and when my family was on vacation in Florida I dropped him just as we were getting into a car. Me and my parents look all around the spot we were in for him and we couldn't find him. He just vanished.
Though I gotta say I do feel fortunate that my mom always knew better then to give away my Transformers. I'm in my 20's now and she would never dream of selling them off or giving them away, hell she has even been helping me add to my collection. I love my mommy!

I've just remembered I once lost G1 Blowpipe and I was so annoyed.
Then eBay came along and made it better.

I don't know. I can tell you that my parents asked me before they got rid of my toys.
