How to spot a Fake G1

I'm considering buying a G1 Jazz, are there neways of finding out whether, its a re-issue or vintage transformer, just by looking at it

The reissues have NO chrome on the weapons or missles and the date stamp on it is is the best way to know if it is ebay or somewere you cannot look at it then the lack of chrome parts might be your only clue.

All the KO's have made buying G1 toys a real gamble. Some of the KOs look really close. If off ebay, I would ask for high rez pics so you can see a date stamp or at least a Takara or Hasbro copyright in the corners.

If the seller wont do this, you may want to keep away.

If the seller is based in China, the chances of your figure being a KO are fairly high.

Although there should be plenty of USA/UK based sellers. Always are for Tracks and other Re-issues.
