Hasbro teamed up with Mcfarlane(spawn) Toys and made a line of transformers? Anyone else think this would be one of the greatest lines ever created?

Ok, who exactly is "Mcfarlane", cause to me that name means multiple people... Give a bit more description before suggesting a situation next time please. ^^

He means Family Guy Transformers.

Although I'm not sure what you would have for alt. modes with the characters...

How is that in anyway a good toyline? What would they do?
There'd be nothing to them...

My idea:

Transformers should team up with Pokemon.

Pokemon Transformers transform into their evolutions. To squeeze more money out of everyone, Polemon that can evolve into different evolutions (IE, Eevee and his evolutions) could be five different toys, one for every different evolution.

The idea would sell (a lot) if it were executed properly.

Are you sure they don't mean Mcfarlane toys??

A better idea would be Takara/Hasbro and Bandai.

Considering the Quagmire reference in the second post in this topic combined with the fact that that assumption was not shot down as wrong by the topic creator in the third post in this topic...

Yes, I'm sure.

Yes, I'm sure.

However Shed's guess would make a lot more sense as Spawn/etc transformers would ACTUALLY LOOK GOOD, while Family guy transformers.... well what would they do!?!

Todd Mcfarlane, Original Creator of Spider-Man's nemesis Venom (amongst other characters), who then left Marvel Comics, to create his own comic company, Image.

He launched it with his own comic creation Spawn.

Further down the line he created a toy line of highly detailed and poseable action figures of his characters.

The characters are so intricately detailed, they have been considered masterpieces. He know makes figures of many different things ranging from movie characters, like Alien, Terminator, the Matrix, to cartoons and other comic characters. Like the Simpsons.

I think they'd be really cool, and also really expensive.
I think if Hasbro designed the toys, and then gave them to Mcfarlane for detailing, it would be an awesome partnership.

Thought so 8)
Didn't believe for a second he actually meant Family Guy.

I'm familiar with his work, he is a great designer, he could really make this idea amazing if the right people suggested it to him. Especially if he went for non-transformable G1 characters in high detail, like a bigger, more detailed, US/UK version of the Revoltech line.

Agreed! Mcfarlane Toys aren't meant to be played with, they're more statues than anything.

If only we had one of those, o wait we do, Hasbro calls them Robot Replicas.

I'd like for them to be able to transform, and still be as detailed as McFarlane's figuresm which is why, I agree, have Hasbro work the transformation and Articulation, and then Give them to Macfarlane for Painting and detailing.

Well that would be awesome. A $9.99 deluxe Masterpiece. heheh.
Seriously though, With that level of detailing, I'd be glad t pay 20 bucks for a deluxe. or 35 for a Voyager. But only with that level of detailing.

Word. They look nice, but ultimately that's really all that it is.

Meh, Todd McFarlane is kinda a washed-up has-been now that doesn't know when to shut up, so no thanks.
