OK, now I've seen it all.

Was walking through my local Wal-Mart and saw these. Hasbro has put out Star Wars Transformers (that's what they are called, complete with the "more than meets the eye" tm, similar packaging too).

They had one for Luke Skywalker, Mace Wendu and Janga Fett. All transform into some sort of Star Wars vehicle.

Sheesh.....not sure how I feel about this yet....

Thet are certainly great as vehicles, but as robots, many of us find them to be leaving a lot to be desired. It seems like the idea has about played itself out, but who knows.

I 1324% support that idea.

I've been thinking about getting one of the Fetts
But I think having three darth vaders is a bit much for one line.

These have been out, since about this time Last year.

As many have said the robot modes are less than o.k. They are mediocre at best, and have lots of kibble, to accommodate the alt mode. The only ones I own are Obi Wan Star Fighter, and Luke X-Wing. Luke is completely floppy. and just has a big old x wing hanging from his back. Anakin is a bit more steady, but still the star fighter wings are very annoying.

Upcoming are Commander Cody Turbo Tank, and Storm Trooper AT AT and Luke Snowspeeder. Of which I'm only looking forward to Commander Cody and kinda hoping the Darth Vader Death Star lives up to its reputation once I find one.

You mean like if in a parallel universe, the Ark and the Nemesis crash landed on Tattooine instead of Earth? and Teletran-1 scanned Luke's Speeder instead of a VW Beetle?

nyuk nyuk... at least that makes a little more marketing sense than to randomly make Luke himself transform...

These guys were never intended to be part of TF lore. Sure, Hasbro made use of the TF brand as a well-known name, especially to young kids, but these are simply Star Wars merchandise, not TransFormers.
They remain in-universe, turning from SW characters into SW ships. Their background story is that thse are not sentient beings, these are SW vehicles piloted by the actual characters (tiny pilots are included) and can convert into 'battle mechs', or Droids if you want to keep the SW flavor.
Therefore, Megatron transforming into a TIE Advanced makes no sense whatsoever.

That said, you need to be a fan of SW to appreciate these, and then you need to be generous when it comes to kibble-laden robots.
