I just received today from B.B.T.S. my order of the six-pack light up energon cubes! They are awesome! Also got the two G1 character figures Spike and Sparkplug made by impossibletoys.com. I am a little disappointed with size of them.

I had expected them to be bigger! I plan to leave them in the package, as I know me, if I don't I'll lose one the microscopic pieces!

I am pretty sure they are that small so they are relatively in scale with the G1 bots.

I remember seeing a pic of them sitting inside G1 Prime's truck mode.

Spike & Sparkplug are the same size as a Diaclone driver, so yeah they are in scale with the G1 TFs. I was perfectly satisfied with mine.

Hey those are really cool! Congratualtions on a great score. Those are the kind of things that would enhance anyone's g1 collection.

With that said, those prices are insane! $30 for what doesn't even have the plastic amount of a quarter machine toy. Even with the custom packaging and the small accessories (and possibly hand painted figures) it's still not worth $30 for 2 of them, no matter how cool they are. If they go down to $15 for the 2 I'd think about it, but that'd still be insane.

Edit: Where'd you get that bumblebee from above poster? His face looks like bumblebees and not a yellow cliffjumper. That's really cool. I need to start collecting g1 more. I did drop $150 on a wheeljack but that was stupid since I already have him. I need to get the ones I had as a kid again like blitzwing. Ok I'll stop ranting.

I dont yet know what I think of Spike and Sparky but I really feel the energon cubes!! WHOOT

Those are pretty cool. I might eventually have to spring for a set.

That G1 anime-accurate Bumblebee is an exclusive included in the Japanese minibot team reissue collection set #12.


If you can find the set for a decent price and you like G1 minibots(and want an anime accurate Bumblebee), I can't recommend it enough. I got mine for a song because it was opened.

Yeah, I've been seeing those Energon cubes everywhere online. What kind of light is it, what kind of batteries, and how bright are they?

They'd be some great ambient lighting for a room. Can you just imagine having sex with the only light coming from freaking Energon Cubes?

The kind of light used inside the cubes looks a little like a miniture x-mas bulb and it takes two small watch like batteries and they light up pretty bright as you can see in the pics.

Fascinating.
