Because every review would just say:

It sucks?

Because no one has bothered to review them, because most fans think they suck. I quite like them although I own zero now, I had a lot when I was a kid.

Never really understood the hate for Action Masters, given how many people fall over themselves buying Revoltech figures and other non-transformable figures.

Firstly, most of the people I know on who rave about Revoltech also like Action Masters.
Secondly compairing Revoltech to Actionmasters is like compairing an Mansion to a mud walled hovel.

Personally I have no interest in the Revoltechs nor the Action Masters, but I know which I'd prefere.

And again with the Action Master hatred. I'd take an AM over a Revoltech any day, simply because the Revoltechs look like arse. Even then, you're comparing a kids toy with an adult collectable. Seriously, what is the gripe with AMs? I appreciate that they don't transform, but there's a load of statues and figures out there that don't transform but don't attract the same hatred.

I personally collect tfs because they transform.

I do not collect ANYTHING that dosnt transform.

AMs, Statues, Action figures, these I do not buy.

That said, I have not said I hate AMs, just that I have no intention of buying them, and given the choice would prefere Revoltech.

Then... um... why are you posting? If you don't like figures that don't transform, clearly, this isn't the discussion for you. :-?

Sorry, as a result of far too much cider, my last post came across as more hostile than I intended.

I guess what I'm guessing at is: Action Masters seem to be universally reviled, and yet other non-transforming figures/statues/whatever are accepted. I don't get it. :???:

Firstly, cider... euw :P

As I said earlier, I cant think of anybody who has said 'yuck AMs, yey Revoltech'.
Also the Revoltechs (from what I have seen have a lot of points of articulation, whereas the AMs had less than most action figures of the time (which were pretty lame anyway).

Finaly, Revoltechs are nout but a sideline, a very minor one at that. Actions Masters WERE the Transformers line at the time.

If you're "euwing" Strongbow, I'm totally with you. But I won't have a word said against my beloved Kopparberg. Which sadly, I wasn't drinking tonight.

Thing is, I bought Action Master's at the time and quite liked them. For some characters, it was your best chance at getting a cartoon-accurate figure. And they still look better than Revoltech Prime. But different strokes for different folks, I guess.

i loved them tell you the truth. At the point of time you gotta understand toys wern't meant to move around like they do today and well of course comparing a revoltech to a am is stupid,
one the time frame in which the two were made nd the quality that the toys and revoltechs were made out of its stupid to compare the two cause one is made for close detial the other was just made as a toy.
But as i still ask as the question was put forward where can i get a decent pic so i can look up at it for kitbashing so i can say "ok this is what i can do with it"

people like revlotech better because they are fully poseable and which one are they going to get action masters or revlotech they are two completeley different things and you can't compare them. A better comparision would be action masters or legends

By Legends, do you mean Marvel Legends, or something else?

I can use Marvel Legends as an example though. Ok, back in the day Action Masters were on par with standard articulation(head articulation, arms, legs, knees), and that was fine. Your average Marvel figure had similar articulation. However, compared to Marvel Legends, which usually has articulation out the wazoo, they feel crappy. While I don't have a Revoltech, I imagine they can pose pretty well. So, due to the increase in articulation and posability, Revoltech's and Super Collection Figures are accepted because they are usually a step above their transforming counterparts in that area, and are also less expenisve in some cases.

Nice to see someone else making that point. Action Masters are what? Ten, fifteen years old? And they were intended as fairly cheap children's toys. Compare their posability to other TFs of the time, and they were pretty good. Of course they don't meet the standards of a modern collector's figure. Why would they?

Not only that, but I'd still take Action Masters over Revoltech figures, because Action Masters look a lot more like their characters.

Are you blind Revlotech toys look exactly like their characters so do the AMs but they don't meet the detail of Revlotech because their toys unlike Revlotech and will you stop comparing the two one of them is a toy and the other is a poseable figure two completely different things

Um... I just agreed that Action Masters and Revoltech SHOULDN'T be compared. Were you by some chance referring to someone else's post?

Oh, and if you can show me the episode where Prime sported a pinhead and boobs, I will concede that Revoltech Prime looks like Prime.

What the hell are you talking about this looks just like Prime. Geez you are a freakin' retard. So me a picture of a action master Prime and say it looks more like him huh why don't you do that.

That looks like the brother Prime's family doesn't want to talk about, because he was born horribly deformed. And he walks around with his balls out.
