Temporary Happiness

The anticipation was high, the tension likewise. He walked from his car to the store and in to the doors. The overhead PA system was booming with some hard to understand gibberish about price checking. He walked hurridly to the correct section and scoped out his prize: A Transformers Cybertron Metroplex figure. This beast was one of the tallest Transformers of the line and had three different modes to beat on some Decepticon bolts. It shined in it's glory on the shelf; taunting him to pick it up. The price below it said and unbelieveable $14.88! He snatched up the figure and ran over to the price checker. $39.47 showed defiantly on the readout. Luckily, there were two figures in the same location. He asked for help and a woman dressed in a blue vest walked down the aisle and verified what he saw.
Then the debate happened. He said the price should be $14.88 since that is what was labelled. She disagreed and started to move the boxes around. He stopped her and asked to speak to a manager. After a guelling waiting period, the manager sheepishly showed up and agreed with him. The lady in the blue vest rudley handed him the figure in the box and snatched the tag from the shelf. Together they walked up to the checkout line and Miss Rudeness explained the situation to the cashier. Soon afterward, he hurried to his car and drove back to work.
Victory was his!

I thought most places had descriptions on the labels to avoid this sort of confusion/cheating.

He didn't move it, Metroplexes are getting their prices slashed in Wisconsin.
I picked up 2 of them (and they had Clocker attached to each one aswell) for $10.00 a piece.
I'm guessing the clerk in Milwaukee didn't get the memo.

but shouldnt the price check have read correctly then...it was the clerk started moving boxes part that confused me. Was she just moving random boxes? My understanding from the story was that she was moving the metro's. oh well, i'm confused now. ty for that

most likely. they just happened to be in the wrong place a good manager would have checked the bar code numbers with that of the tag. if they were diffrent then it would not have been for that item.
this is just a lazy manager not wanting to arguee with a customer.

I got a game stratagy guide for $0.01 for the same reason.
I don't know why it had a label of $0.01 and I dont know how my mother convinced them that if it was labled as $0.01, I could buy it for that.

Well, I didn't move it, but it scanned at $39.47. I fought the lady for it and it was the assistant manager that oked it. I think he just didn't want a confrontation.

I work in customer services in a supermarket, and I can say catigoriclly, no matter what the situation, no matter who is in the right, no matter what the rules you are suposed to work by say.... The F**KING managment will side with the customer cuase they're a bunch of yellow youknow whats...
Anyway, back onto the matter at hand.
You do realise that Metroplex is easily the WORST tf in the entire Cybertron line.
Including LoCs...

It's not great, that's for sure, but I have all of the largest figures except that BM Cheetor, The electronic Nightscream, the Electronic plane thing from BM, and any city/battlestations from G1. I want them all, but I don't have them yet. I also have to say that Quickmix is pretty terrible as well. Metroplex beats him just by the number of versions he can transform into, if you can call Brute mode a different version.

Quickmix does look rather rubbish too.
I recently got Menasor for roughtly half price (which would still equate to roughly full price for you guys
). Now him I actully quit like, which is odd.
His altmode looks cool, but has no real point to it, the configuration of drills and what not would be utterly usless for a start.
He has a blatent movie face.
And he dosnt have any real hands.
Yet I like him
I like his alt mode.
I like his robot mode.
I enjoy his transformation.
Weird eh?
