Depends on the Memory card you put in it.
A 1GB card, will hold around 300 MP3s.

Can I use any type of mp3 memory card, or do i need a certain type?

I believe they are triple A batteries (AAA) but don't quote me on that.

Yes it plays on a single AAA battery and if you don't have a screwedriver with you when it's empty you're screwed because you need one to replace the battery.
