Just recently completed my BB mod! It was a lotta work, but finally able to post to Seibertron (long time fan!) so you can see some of my work. :) Let me know if you like it! :)

Some more of the pics can be seen here in my LJ:

My next projects are the 1:1 replica of the AllSpark cube, mod of Jazz and Ironhide, and most definitely Transformers cosplay for upcoming conventions in summer 2008.

That's awesome.

Are the plates on his forearms detachable for transformation?

Thanks everyone! :)

Briggs: You can detach if you wanted to, but they can actually stay on and you simply pivot and rotate them 180 degrees so they completely fold into the center section when going into Car mode. The pivot/rotators were kit-bashed from old robot arm parts and I just sawed off the BB arm and glued them in. The arm attachments themselves are completely scratch-built out of foamies and plastic and vinyl. The BB Replica arm parts are too bulky to fit inside and aren't detailed enough anyway.

I had to constantly transform and de-transform every single piece to make sure everything would fit perfectly. As easy as it looks, it was really hard. But it was worth it! :)

For my next big project, I want to make the AllSpark cube... carved and everything... but actually make it light up cool blue through the crevices. I'll have to ponder that for now... haha

A TF friend asked me to make it an AllSpark Jack-in-the-box. Maybe have a sexy Mikaela-esque My Little Pony doll pop out. haha

It wasn't hell, really. It was just tedious because I've been doing things like this for a while and am always working on multiple projects. Only recently have I joined Seibertron forums specifically to satisfy my TF cravings because I've been so busy focusing on other 3D arts. :)

Below are some back pics. I need to explain about that a bit. Basically the top roof parts are glued together into one piece and the plan was to saw it all into several pieces so I could glue very thin vinyl hinges that would hold them all together and during transformation, would "wrap" around themselves and fit underneath the front window when the rear T-bar folds up. In the end, I COULD have done it, but the space alloted to me after car transformation is about 1mm and with all the hinges in place, that amounts to about 2-2.5mm... you do the math.

So basically, the rooftop is detachable but can still be reattached or even kept on during car form to robot form. The end effect was to be able to preserve the rear wings that BB really has. The rooftop folds up and disappears into the back anyway, so I thought eh~ no biggie. I got time, maybe I'll work on that later. :) Maybe show it off at Botcon 2008?

I'll probably complete the rooftop transform at some point if I manage to "skin" the rooftop innards a bit to allow about .5mm of extra space for the hinges... it's a very tight fit, but it can be done. Gotta be accurate, you know. haha

One for the team! Hut one! Hut two!

:APPLAUSE: :APPLAUSE: dude. WE'RE SO NOT WORTHY! :APPLAUSE: :APPLAUSE:

hope you can get that roof panel transformation, it would really then be massive. 8) keep it up, and maybe you'll win an award at the next BotCon. w00t!
