Deluxe Brawl 'Tabs'... Separated Shoulder syndrome

What is with deluxe Brawl's shoulder 'tabs'?

I can never get his arms to stay in the damn tabs unless I fold his arms inward over his waist/chest... he looks like he has a chronic case of separated shoulders...

other than that, I love the little green bastard...

Sorry if this has already been discussed before, but that's what happens when the search function doesn't work around here...

Yes its been discussed but still a pain.

Here's one fix for it:

deluxe brawl arm mod

anbd here's my Rant about it a few months ago:

Deluxe Brawl=Major Dissapointment

Its also got a few techniques for fixing the problem.

I used the nail polish technique and it did tighten them up somewhat. But I'm still thinking of performing the Magnet surgery.

The magnet idea is very interesting, but I don't think I'll try it. The plastic you have to cut off comes pretty close to the red automorph cogwheels, and I wouldn't want to mess that up.

Another problem I find is slotting the black backplate in behind his head. There's a bit of a design flaw there, you can slot the backplate in all the way behind his head, but when you fold the turret down, it pulls the backplate out of it's slot. See for yourself.

Between that and the shoulder tabs not working, the whole backpack and arms can come off quite easily.

The easiest thing is to use the little doors on the turret to hold the arms roughly in place. So long as the backplate behind his head doesn't come loose, it shouldn't matter too much if the shoulder pegs are fitting into their slots or not.

the backplate on my brawl is really tight and snug... actually at first, I wasn't even sure the backplate would even fit into the slot behind his head... but it turns out he just needed a good push on the backplate...

as for the magnets, that's a really neat idea... however, I'm not too keen on cutting anything off... he's alright for now I suppose...

Try nail polish on the pegs. Works fine for me. Although i have no idea yet how long this will last. But the good thing is, you can reapply it anytime. Cheap solution. :P
