But a friend of mine was showing me his collection of G1 Transformers (which of course inspired much jealousy and thoughts of thievery ) but my eye caught something that was a little strange. It was a lone Sunstreaker figure but instead of being the classic yellow, it was red.

And before you say that I must have been hallucinating and what I really saw was Sideswipe, let me tell you that it was Sunstreaker. It had the whole rear chrome motor/blower portion that you flip backwards for the head.

Maybe this is a common thing but I'd never heard of it.

So I ask this, fellow Seibertronians: Have you seen this figure before?

Why didn't you ask him?

I have no idea, but this sounds interesting. More Investigation is required! Will keep an eye on this topic.

Could it posably be a Diaclone version??

KO Sunstreakers are kinda rare....

except for the remakes which are darn expensive.

Though the question has been answered, if you didn't know about the red Diaclone Sunstreaker, you probably didn't know about the police version either:

They also made a "Police Jazz", but I've only seen one pic of it(might as well look that up).

And while we're on the subject, let's throw in the theory that the molds for Sideswipe and Sunstreaker got mixed up. Which would explain why Sideswipe's bio mentions a rocket pack and piledrivers, even though those features are easier to picture on Sunstreaker.

The G1 bots have been recolored and reissued alot of times under alot of different lines over the years.

Hell, I've seen a blue French Jazz.

I love Diaclone
I like Diaclones better than their Transformers counterparts. They have better colors in general(Devastator being one heck of an exception )
